CNN's current web headline lists Meat Loaf as the singer of "Bat Out Of Hell".  The Fox News web headline lists him as the singer of "I Would Do Anything For Love".

Sorry, Fox fans, but this one isn't close.  CNN wins this one going away.

Edit to add: Rest in peace, good sir.

Yeah, but remember the time when Meat Loaf endorsed Mitt Romney for president though.  He didn't agree with Romney on social issues, but he liked his approach to the economy and foreign affairs, and two out of three ain't bad.

Both 👎 . Paradise by the Dashboard Light is the only acceptable answer
I'm of the opinion that Bat Out Of Hell is a better song, but it's close enough (and Paradise iconic enough) that I would have also accepted Paradise By The Dashboard Light.  The Phil Rizzuto portion cracks me up every time.

Just for fun, Wikipedia offers the following trivia regarding the Phil Rizzuto bit:

The baseball play-by-play section, written specifically for New York Yankees announcer Phil Rizzuto using phrases he would actually say while announcing, was recorded by Rizzuto with Steinman and Rundgren at The Hit Factory in New York in 1976. Rizzuto publicly maintained he was unaware that his contribution would be equated with sex in the finished song. However, Meat Loaf asserts that Rizzuto was fully aware of the context of what he was recording, and feigned ignorance only to stifle criticism. An edited version of the baseball broadcast was spliced into the Boston radio version of the song, where the baseball call was re-recorded by Red Sox broadcasters.

Funny, I never heard of "Bat Out of Hell" but definitely heard of "I Would Do Anything For Love"

THIS is good stuff.  Glad to see we can all find a bit of levity in the stupidity that envelops the 24 hour news cycles.

Gotta agree..anything for love? Pish. Good song but bat out of hell smoked it.

Fox phail

Bat out of hell peaked at 8

I would do anything was Meat Loaf's first and only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK Singles Chart, and was the best-selling single of 1993 in the United Kingdom. The song earned Meat Loaf a Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo.

It wouldn’t be the first time that CNN let their opinion get in the way of the facts. 🤣

Now that last line was funny!

Just so we're clear, Ice Ice Baby also hit #1 on the Billboard charts.  Bat Out Of Hell is still a better song than I Would Do Anything For Love, and I'll fight anyone who says differently!
