This might have been done awhile ago but not since I've been around. The only rule is that they had to have been signed/drafted by their original MLB club. You can only use players who haven't retired. Feel free to edit as I am in a bit of a hurry.

New York Yankees

RF Alfonso Soriano

One could throw Jose Contreras, Orlando Hernandez or if desperate an Eric Milton out there if one of the youngsters were ineffective.

The Tigers had Randy Smith as their GM for six seasons. It's probably a miracle that the Tigers didn't fold after what Smith did so I have no line-up to submit.

The collapse of the franchise was blamed by many on then-general manager Randy Smith. Under Smith, the Tigers squandered numerous high draft picks in trades for players who did not fulfill their potential, and the high draft picks that the team made resulted in no noteworthy players. As a consequence, the franchise's minor-league system struggled, providing little help to the major-league club. In addition, Smith traded away numerous quality players, such as Luis Gonzalez and Phil Nevin, without receiving comparable talent in return. Smith's most controversial move as GM backfired heavily; in an effort to acquire a star player that would draw fans to new Comerica Park in 2000, he sent six players—including Frank Catalanotto, Justin Thompson, Gabe Kapler and Francisco Cordero—to the Texas Rangers for outfielder Juan González, plus two unheralded players. Gonzalez played 115 games in a Tigers uniform before suffering a season-ending injury, and he left the team as a free agent in the offseason.Furthermore, Smith hamstrung the franchise by signing a number of players to lucrative long-term contracts, forcing the team to devote a significant portion of its payroll to players who had long outlived their usefulness. Examples of such long-term signings include Dean Palmer, Damion Easley and Bobby Higginson. The signing of Palmer to play 3rd base was particularly criticized, as Smith had the previous season refused to offer a similar deal to fan favorite 3rd baseman Fryman. Smith and then-manager Phil Garner were fired by the club on the same day in 2002, only six games into the season, all of which were Tiger losses.
This is one of the few people on earth I would just commence an ### kicking on without warning. This was a Detroit Lions move, not a Detroit Tigers move. Tigers are still trying to figure out what an incompetent boob Smith really was. May take decades.

Japanese and Cuban players who are superstars in the game already shouldn't count. And I like Andy Phillips and all, but to put him ahead of Don Mattingly in any list save one that requires the player's first name to be Andy, is a little silly.

Non retired players... so it's either Andy or Nick Johnson. Established Japanese and Cuban players I'll let slide because as of right now there isn't exactly a ton of the.

:IBTL: Horrendous at 3B, 2B isn't that good, SP is old and terrible and you left off the DH spot. That team would struggle to win 75 games.

Yeah, Shea is very weak at third. Overlooked him. 2B isn't that good? Freddie Sanchez is a two-time all-star and getting better. I could replace him with Pedroia too. As for an old starting staff, with that bullpen we could afford 5 inning starters.Good call for Nomar at DH. That's about the best we could do. Or David Murphy - Off to a pretty good start. He'd replace Trot in RF, I guess.

I didn't realize that the Sox originally signed Betincourt... but that's another arm for that bullpen.

I'd put Nomar ('94) at 3B over HillenbrandEckstein would probably be a better 2B than Sanchez too

Brian Bannister and Justin Duchscherer might be options for the pitching staff as well

Too bad Burrell, Harang and Teixeira didn't sign with the Sox or else their list would be more impressive

I don't think you get to pick guys from different eras, it's players from 2007.And if you use players that were initially drafted by another team, you'd lose at least Papelbon.

Put Sanchez at 3B. Pedroia at 2B.That's a pretty decent infield. But man, that OF is horrendous.
