commish question (1 Viewer)

immadimwitty

Footballguy
in our league the waiver wire was not working right for a few min. and with our waivers being first come first sreved there was an issue with a pick up. the commish fixed the waiver issue and then entered the pickups in the order he recieved them. there is how ever an issue with one player. the commish added that player to the team he got the request from first but the other coach is saying you dont know what would have happened if the waivers wernt messed up for a few(maybe 5) min.

should things be left as is- entered in the order he recieved them. or put the player in question back in the pool and let everyone have another shot at him after the monday night game?

How did the waiver wire break?

Are your waivers first-come, first-serve all the time or do you have an actual waiver period?

Since everyone was subject to the same screwup, and going off the amount of time you say it was screwed up, I'm inclined to think the commissioner did the right thing here.

waivers are first come first served all season. and the accounting setting was set wrong and noone could do a pickup. also there were only 2 teams making pickupseta that players are locked from their kickoff till the end of the week

So, if the commissioner throws the guy back into the pool, it basically comes down to who can click the button fastest after the Monday night game, right? I'd be inclined to go with things like they are since either way, the outcome is a fairly random event.

This is a situation where the commish had to make a decision, not wait and see if it works out by game time.

He picked a time. Someone didn't like it.
