Well that sucked the big one.

Nothing like dropping 6 large to see your beloved team get their arses kicked up and down the field.

With that said... congrats to the Dolphins, their embattled coach, their fans, and all those crotchety old players from '72.

I wonder if Devin Hester and Rex Grossman still have a soft spot in their heart for the state of Florida. ;)

Hopefully Berrian's and Urlacher's injuries aren't TOO serious.

And hopefully Plaxico Burress and that gap-toothed switch hitter Michael Strahan are both out next week too.

Nice game Dolphins!

Much like 85, this will be the only loss for my Super Bowl Bears. :)

Never in a million years would I have seen this coming. I think the Bears had the best chance to be the next undefeated team, but its only fitting that the Phins knocked them out. Thumbs up to the Phins, but the Bears are still the team to beat. Good game all around

Where were your seats? Or did you bet on the game.
Two seats in the Cadillac Club Level: $500 after service charges, etc. from TicketmasterParking: $30Brunch: $40Assorted nonsense at Soldier Field: $30Me eating crow after lambasting Saban and the Phins at ever turn: Priceless

Plax will be back and hopefully Osi as well. Good luck but its hard to be scared of a team that gets embarresed by two of the lowest quality teams in the league.

theres no way rex is going to lead the bears to a SB.

bears have a great d. they need a qb who doesn't make mistakes. grossman comes up small in big spots.

they need trent dilfer, and they have jake the snake.

Please tell me you're joking. The Bears got exposed again. Suprbowl bound and Grossman do not go together my friend....the guy makes horrible decisions way too frequently. They play in the worst division in football which makes them look better than they really are. The Bears are a really good football team, but I'll take any action that they don't get to the Superbowl.

Glad the Dolphins decided to wake up this week....KC now goes to Florida knowing that what happened Sunday could happen to them....and they won't go in full of themselves.

i agree

the Bears are grossly overrated and it starts with their Qb. When he's on, they call him Favre like. When he's off, he's Leaf like. There is no middle ground with him and I dont think you'll win the SB with him under center. Dust off Brian Greise and maybe, because at least he knows how to manage a game and not lose it. There's nothing special, at least in my opinion, on the offensive side of the ball for Chicago that will reak havoc come playoff time. Their D is great, but if they dont return SEVERAL for scores, I can't see them winning anything this year.

Stupid history repeating itself! Congrats to the Fish. Anyone else think they shoulda benched Gross for Greise towards the end? If for nothing else but to show Gross that the Bears will do whatever it takes to win and stop being such an idiot with the ball.

Some quick observations:

A) The Phins wanted this game more than the Bears.

B) The Bears O-Line looked awful, and Ruben Brown took a LONG time to get up off the ground a couple of times.

C) The Bears blitz pickups against Minnesota, Arizona and Miami sucked.

D) The Bears should have been in a hurry up offense down by 15 at the midway point in the 4th quarter, yet they took their sweet time. STUPID!

E) If Rex struggles again next Sunday, look for Griese to start against the Jets. 2 TDs and 7INTs on the road with a 51.9 QB rating on the road doesn't bode well for Rex as the Bears prepare for a three game road trip.

6 large means 6 thousand, not 6 hundred.

The Bears are not the team to beat anymore. The Bears can be beat by anyone as long as Grossman is the QB. I am a Bears fan and I sincerely doubt they will beat the Giants. I think the Giants are a very good team and the Bears haven't played any very good teams. The Dolphins are a pitiful team. If you lose to them you show all the other teams that they can be beat. This loss changes everything.

I can't beleive we are congratulating teams on a regular season victory..... After all of these years of watching NFL I just don't understand why people act so shocked when a team loses to another team we see this every year but everytime it happens everyone acts so shocked.

Hey, I just know what I read online in legitimate newspapers:http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/sto...9p-361365c.html
The only thing legitimate here is your gross misinterpretation of facts.

I agree completely. But Grossman hasn't been in any big spots this year. AZ was not a big spot and he played horribly. This game was not a big game. I'm curious to see what he does next week. I thought Plummer too. But honestly he may be more Harrington than Plummer.

They'll have to get a lot better for that to be true. In 85 the Dolphins plyaed way over their heads. That Bears team didn't give the ball away like this team.

First of all the Dolphins are terrible and a 1-6 team should never come into a place like Soldier Field with Joey Harrington and win. Although Chicago still has a whole lot to be happy about, a home loss like that coupled with a so-so road performance in Minnesota and a terrible one in Arizona have to be factored into the conversation. Next why do you hope Plax and Strahan are out if you think this will be the Bears only loss? Obviously you don't think they can beat the Giants unless the Giants are playing with half a team. I actually think this is the correct assumption. They aren't going to beat a lot of teams if they play like they did yesterday. ***Not a Bears hater. I only hate the Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Suxor. Bears and Cubs are meh but I don't hate them. I have to write this because of my history with Chicago fans here and elsewhere :D ****

GA is the Bueno of the Shark Pool. Something's rotten here. Not buying it.

C'mon now... I've got to hang my hat on SOMETHING.

And six large = $600 in my six member household.

I'm not of the six figure income with little debt like you young cats.

Why are we giving praise to the Dolphins? this is the same team that lost to Houston and NYJ a few weeks back, right?LOL..even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut.last I checked, the Colts are still undefeated. those 'old crotchery' players from the '72 team have to wait another week to celebrate. Here's hoping the Colts go undefeated and win it all, just so we don't have to see Buonicotti drinking champagne in November/December on ESPN sportscenter, celebrating another year of being the NFL's only undefeated team..tired of hearing about it..every year the same old thing. That, and the Mercury Morris interviews about it.. uggh..how long will this go on for? the Steelers won 4 SB's in the '70s, but we don't hear about every year...the Bears went 15-1 in 1985..who cares. the Jets beat Baltimore in the SB , a game that really put the AFL ( and eventually the NFL) in the limelight, but we don't hear about that nearly as often as this.

I think they've moved back to the NFC pack now. They've looked mighty mortal to me lately ... even with the nice bounce-back win after the virtual loss at Arizona.
