really? #6??? dude hasn't played a down of NFL football and you're already putting him up at #6..this love of Trent Richardson has reached a fevered pitch.. :loco: we dont' even know where he's going to yet: will he go to a team with a RBBC offense, an offense friendly to pass-catching RB's, or a team like Cincy that throws no passes to its RBs?

any PPR dynasty ranking list top 7 MUST include D. Sproles..86/710.

last I checked, Sproles is still a young guy..he'll be doing it for a long time in N.O.

I remember in my initial dynasty draft how a few owners scoffed at the guy who took Adrian Peterson at 7th Overall. They asked him how he could pass on guys like Shaun Alexander, Willie Parker, Laurence Maroney, Brian Westbrook, and Reggie Bush for a guy who hadn't played a down.

When did you last check, three years ago?

Yea Sproles is going to be 29 at the start of the season. And the Saints are taking some hits this offseason with losing an all-pro guard .... plus BountyGate ... plus Brees being pissed off at being franchised and could hold out ... plus the fact that they still do have three good RBs (Thomas is underrated IMO).

In my .5 PPR Dynasty league I have Sproles at RB14. Just barely behind Spiller, but ahead of Lynch.

I would rather have a recovering every-down AP for half the season this year and future seasons than Sproles.

Yeah but people did the same thing with Ingram before he got drafter and he's not even on this list a year in.

The difference between Richardson and Ingram as prospects is night and day. I think most people thought he was the best RB in one of the worst ever dynasty drafts, but I don't think most people looked at him as one of the best prospects in recent memory. I for one thought he compared best to Knowshon.I understand how someone can be skeptical of taking a rookie ahead of proven guys, but when the rookie is of the caliber of a Richardson it is best to swing for the fences. In my opinion he will be considered one of the best RBs in the league by this time next year regardless of where he goes.

Yeah I've heard Richardson doubters make this argument a lot recently and it's just not accurate. No one was saying Ingram was the best rb prospect since AP last year. Apples to oranges.

I'm never high on rookie but I think I would rather take the mystery meat than what was left
that the issue with the "next" best tier of RB's they are all hurt:ADP

Mendenhall

Jamaal Charles

Only CJ2k isnt coming off a major injury of those listed and he looked very pedistrian last year.

MJD is super long in the tooth

DeMarco is an oft injured player as well.

I see the reasoning for grabbin Trent Richardson but it just doesnt feel right

Peterson was taking #8 overall I think, looking like Richardson is also going to be top 10 in an age where RBs aren't valued as much. Ingram almost slipped into the 2nd round.

Geez, I'm old.

Suprised that anyone would put Chris Johnson over Adrian Peterson at this point. His stats have been in a free fall since that 2000 yard season.

2009 = 2006 (5.6 ypc)

2010 = 1364 (4.3 ypc)

2011 = 1047 (4.0 ypc)

That's a trend folks. Not saying it continues but he appears to have already peaked. Remember when he was drafted and people questioned his ability to take the punishment because of his size? He's still small. It kind of reminds me of when Robert Brooks stepped into Sterling Sharpe's shoes and every said he was too small. And he was because he got worn down to a nub in a couple seasons. I fear the same may have happened to Johnson.
