For me, Miles Austin is the easy choice at this spot...and I would have taken him prior to the last two guys (at least for dynasty purposes, given the relative ages of Welker and White). Percy Harvin and Dwayne Bowe would be next on my list.

Same thought process here. Went Austin.

Definitely Harvin. Much less competition than Austin and much more athletic. I expect Harvin's PPG to be off the charts this year. He might get hurt, but when he does play he'll win you games, and that's what I look for in fantasy.

Underutilized in the offense he still had WR1 numbers in PPR last year. He was 11th in points per game scoring, and I expect that to increase this year. Barring injuries he could have 1400 all-purpose yards easily, with Ponder getting better and the potential of a top drafted WR taking coverage away from him.

Not to mention AP will be out.

Repeated head pain issues worry me. Short career.

Still a bunch of guys I really dig on this list.

Cruz, Bowe, Percy and Miles would be the four closest for me. Probably go with Cruz because I think he's the real thing and should flourish with a great QB and Nicks to take coverage from him.

You know for some reason I always viewed Austin as an inconsistent guy and Dallas as a crap shoot of which WR would be the man. But I went and looked at the numbers, and Austin's problem is that he's kinda boom or bust game by game, but he's very solid over the season as a whole. Not sure how much of that is the circus that Dallas seems to be so often.

He led the Cowboys in 09 and 10 and very likely would have if he finished 2011. I think he's one of those guys like Jennings that just sort of doesn't register on the radar screen like he should, at least for me. He's only 27, has a great rapport with an established QB, good complimentary receivers to keep the heat off him, and what figures to be a dynamic running game to keep the balance. He's not gonna catch a hundred passes but he's certainly good for 70+ catches, 7 or 8 TDs, and a thousand yards. That should put him right there around WR14 in ppr, and he seems VERY likely to hit those numbers barring injury. Low risk, get what you pay for I think. This area is really difficult to rank because it depends what you need based on your roster. If youre going for the game by game consistency, or a guy that can step up and end as a top 5 WR- look elsewhere, but if you need a solid WR2 that will give you big games and quiet games but will make his numbers ultimately, Austin is your guy. That probably makes it sound worse than it is because these WR2s often have quiet games... a lot of em just dont have the big games to balance em out. If I had a stud WR1 i'd look hard at Austin here (or Colston, he's a very similar guy)... if i'm looking for a steal to give me WR1 numbers, i'd look at Harvin or Jackson.

Head pain issues were with sleep apnea, nothing to do with concussions as far as I know.

Miles Austin: Not in top shape in 2011

By Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com

In a stunning admission, Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin said he wasn't in the best of shape for the 2011 season.

Austin missed a total of six games due to hamstring injuries.

"I'm feeling great right now, by the way," Austin said in a video interview for Men's Health magazine. "Right now I'm working with the trainers at our facility. I feel like last year, I wasn't prepared for the season in the way I should have been condition-wise, even though I looked and felt like it at the time. That's one thing I have to keep an eye on, to make sure I'm in the best physical shape I can be."

Austin first suffered a hamstring injury toward the end of training camp. He recovered in time to start the season but re-injured it in the Week 2 overtime victory over San Francisco.

He couldn't play in overtime because of the hamstring, leading to Jesse Holley becoming the hero that day when he caught three passes for 96 yards with Austin out.

Austin missed the next two weeks then returned to play four more games before suffering another hamstring injury while running down the sideline against Seattle on Nov. 6.

There were four more games missed until Austin returned for the Giants game Dec. 11.

Austin was asked several times during the season if last summer's lockout messed up his conditioning, and he offered no excuses. During the lockout, players were unable to work with team trainers.

"My legs feel very good right now," Austin said on Dec. 16. "I don't know what else to say. To me, no one honestly can answer that question. Has anyone ever?"

I went HARVIN.

I own him and I like him plus the Rush pts.

Headaches are frustrating. But those stats include the headaches. Crazy.

Still some good players.

I like Cruz, Bowe, DJAX ABrown, and others.

I'm not willing to take a chance on Cruz just yet. Not while there are some proven WRs still on the board

I'm willing to take the chance that a guy who put up top five numbers in PPR from week 3 or 4 onwards will be at least a high end WR2 with an established upside in the stratosphere.

AT this point, there's about 5 or 6 guys I don't see much differance between. "TRADE BACK" would be my preferred WR option ;)
