Corey Coleman for Mariota...fair trade? WHIR (1 Viewer)

I have Luck and need a QB in my 3yr keeper league. The owner who has Mariota also has Ryan.

Is trading Corey Coleman (can be kept for a 6th round pick) a fair offer for Mariota (can't be kept)?

He's basically out of the playoffs

Honestly, I think it depends on who else you can keep on your current squad and how much losing Coleman as a keeper will affect your team in the coming years. The same goes for his roster, and who he can currently keep for the coming years. Coleman is very talented, but with Pryor coming on and no real solid answer in sight at qb, I'm not sure I'm that sold on Coleman in the next couple of years. Your potential trade partner may feel very differently about Coleman than I do though, so it is worth at least floating the idea. It is not an inherently "unfair" trade or anything, from what I can see.

No way in the world should you trade Mariota for Coleman.  Mariota is top 10 this season.  Coleman has no QB, and the future does not look that promising.

Unless Coleman absolutely destroys it these last few weeks, he will not be one of my keepers. On the other hand, there's a good chance the other owner would keep him.

"Fair" means little when you get into various salary and/or contract rules.  Don't be afraid to make an offer if you think its right for your team.

You need to retain Mariota... as you said, Luck's hurt (now out).
