Cowboy Carter by Beyonce (1 Viewer)

Is the album getting a lot of FM Country airplay? I'm not talking about small indie channels, but those stations with names like The Eagle whose playlists are syndicated across the country.

I don't think it is getting a lot of play on the bigger country networks. I tend to be a channel flipper in the car and I have only heard it on our local pop/R&B channel and not on any of the country ones. I don't even see it listed in the top 40 in the I heart radio listings for country.

I admit I have only heard a sampling off it. What I have heard is okay, but not album of the year type quality. I think if it was just a no--name artist releasing the same album, it may not have even seen a minute of air-play.

Unfortunately since I read an article about it, all I can hear is the theme song from Franklin, when Texas Hold'em comes on. :lmao:

"Texas Hold'em" hit #1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart in February ... but I don't know if that chart is still based on airplay metrics + sales metrics the way singles charts used to be. I'm guessing downloads and other digital metrics play heavily into modern singles charts.

I'm sure I'm misremembering, but I seem to recall reading a few years ago that charts were incorporating 1/10 per digital unit vs one whole physical unit. But I can't recall if that was download or stream (or both).

I spent a whole 12 seconds trying to find the answer and here's what I found:

1 physical unit sold = 1 unit
10 downloads = 1 unit
1,500 streams = 1 unit

I have no idea if it's still the case, though.
