Cueto has been avaeraging 43.7 points and faces a tough Phillie battery at home. He has given up more than one run in a start only twice so far. His Ks are low compared to the other two. The Reds had been pretty hot until getting swept by SD, which has to be humiliating. None of the Phils have ever faced Cuto, which should be another advantage for him.
Billingsley averages 46.5 points and would be my top choice- except for the fact that he threw 123 pitches last outing and I fear he may not be as good as he usually is this outing. He's also facing a strong Mets team, altho this is their 5 game of a 7 game west coast swing and fatigue should probably factor in their bats. Only three pitchers have score more points than Chad (Greinke, Halladay, Santanna), I just wish they had held him to 100-110 pitches last outing. Current Mets who ahve faced Chad have a collective .780 OPS, but most of the damage has come from Cory Sullivan (?!).
Josh Johnson - averages 37.2 points, lowest of the three, but he has the easiest matchup vs. the hapless DBacks. There is also the issue of his shoulder, which bothered him last week and he left last outing after only 4 innings. The DBacks have only 16 ABs v Josh, with a paltry .481 OPS, but only 2 Ks. When JJ is on- he's one of the best, but he has blown up on a couple of times this year...
At this point I think I'll sit JJ....
