I'm also starting to believe that Baltimore would be Daunte's best move.I am quoted in another thread in believing that Culpepper would land in Jax. I still stand by my statements and believe that Culpepper lands in Jax this year and he will redo his contract for a shot a starting job, because IMO Daunte wants to prove to everyone right now that he's the guy, injury or not. In his mind, he's top tier and wants to prove it. Right now. And not wait a year longer.Jax is his best bet to show the NFL teams that's he is still a #1 QB. Why?His competition is sketchy. Jax has a contending team, with the exception of unproven/underachieving WRs and QBs. Mike Tice and DC are tight, and DC has a man in his corner for a QB battle. Teams that really need an experienced QB already have drafted their QB of the future (i.e. Oakland, Cleveland, and Minny).That said. Baltimore is truely the best play for Daunte.McNair is on his last legs. Boller is a FA in '08. Troy Smith will not be the guy in '07 or '08.Culpepper acknowledges that he's close to 100%, but not quite there, saves face in the media. Accepts the backup job in Balt, waits for McNair to suck or be injured, takes the spotlight.Then the ball's in his court. He performs, he has a stronghold on the job. He fails, he's a journeyman backup QB playing for NFL standard peanuts.FWIW: He also has his ex-coach, Billick, in his corner in Baltimore.
