Does this say anything about Wells?
It says to me that Alfonso Smith and LaRod Stevens-Howling maynot be legitimate backups to Wells.
It says he has no competition for 2011 because Taylor is done. Beanie is a pansy but for the short term he's the only game in town.
I really thought this guy was special as a rook. I can't believe he keeps going to teams where he has no chance in playing. He is probably so rusty now that his career is about over.

Hurney has already said that Pilares won't be placed on IR, but who knows after the claims they'll need space

This is disappointing, liked him as a prospect but terrible situation to go to.
Given the possible alternatives, I don't think it's a horrible situation. It wouldn't be crazy for him to turn out to be the best WR on the team. Certainly, he'll get opportunities to prove himself and he's got talent. That's about the best you could hope for.Sure, in a perfect world, he'd go to a place with a good QB and opportunity. The teams with good QBs have plenty of receiving options already though.
Ok, I'll bite...even though he technically doesn't have a "FF" career- why would you possibly think it is over? He went unclaimed through waivers due to a guaranteed base salary. Not unexpected, Rams on the hook for it now. Free to sign wherever, he will be on a roster with somebody. Only question is who...

I'm aware of what FF means. Who knows if he will be startable at any point the rest of his "career", we don't know where he is going to sign. Too early to make your statement is the bottom line.

Not only does he have to learn a whole new system and terminology, he is going from playing with Tom Brady to Andy Dalton...Also having Shipley, Simpson, and Green easily ahead of him. Any value here? I'm big on the idea of Jerome Harrison having some value as the eventual replacement for Best, but what about Keiland as the goalline guy?

I'm not so sure. They drafted Mikel for more than just depth - he was going to play. That doesn't mean Williams automatically assumes that role, of course, but he's closer to what they were likely envisioning than anyone else on the roster.They were waiting for today to see who was going to be available. I think if you have Best, you should grab Williams.
Keilan Williams just isn't that good. I am not sweating this at all as a Harrison owner.
