Cuts, signings and transactions of note thread (2 Viewers)

That is a curious move, but they are very different receivers.  Tyron has shown glimpses of being a dynamic downfield receiver.  I cannot understand why the Chargers let him go.  I have to believe the Jags were looking for a speedier option to stretch the field for Trevor Lawrence.
It's because they're the Chargers, baffling personnel decisions is one of their many lovely quirks. Official statement from the coach is that there were other receivers they wanted to keep that they think will help out more with special teams. Problem is, those receivers haven't been very good on special teams so far, and that doesn't explain why a couple of guys at other positions who aren't very good were kept instead.

Denver Broncos cut RB Royce Freeman.

RB Peyton Barber signed to WFT practice squad.

The true irony is that the people that are up in arms about NFL players being released because they should have the “freedom” to chose whether they get the shot are likely the same people that were high fiving eachother when Kaepernik was blackballed for exercising his freedom to protest.
There are differences.

One involves a personal health decision about what you put in your body and the right of your employer to jeopardize your livelihood based on a medical aspect that one could argue is private.

Kap chose to use his celebrity in a way that would bring unwanted attention to his team and the league.  Regardless of whether he was right or wrong, he should have considered the possible repercussions of his actions on the business and his place in it.

You can say the same thing about anti-vaxxers.

100+ WRs got cut today, probably 1/3-1/2 better than our WR room

I agree...but Trinity has been a PS star for a couple years, maybe they had their eye on him. Every team has a pro scouting department fir exactly these kind of moves.

I want to give Holmes the benefit of the doubt. For now.

Trinity Benson is one hell of a pickup.  At some point in this year he is going to have a big week a be a hot item on the waiver wire.

Falcons adding Gallman seems semi-significant. He can run and catch a bit, and pushed Qadree right off the roster.
