D Kizer hype machine (week 14)... (Gabbert too) (1 Viewer)

Ok, so Every single football source that I rely on is pimping Kizer and Gabbert as being good streaming pickups this week, and some have Kizer as high as QB 8, soooo, do you all believe the hype here?

Green Bay has been terrible and If you think Josh Gordon is going to go off this week, then doesn't his QB have to do so as well?  Still, he has accuracy issues, GB is playing for something (not to mention pride) and would you risk your DFS money or a wild card team moving forward on the arm (and legs) of Kizer.

Gabbert gets the same treatment. He has not been bad as the starter for Arizona and it is a juicy matchup, but juicy enough to pin your hopes here?

FWIW I am more interested in the discussion.  This is not a "WDIS" bc my teams are locked and loaded for the playoffs.  I am just wondering how many of us "non experts" agree with the above thought process.

The weather in Cleveland is going to be horrible for football. A lot of wind and cold... Good luck to anyone thinking of starting Kizer. I wouldn't even start him in 2 QB leagues either..

I believe the hype in Kizer, he's got it all going this week.

Weapons: Gordon's second game he should be better and Njoku is blossoming before our eyes. It's a very dangerous trio of weapons.

Matchup: people are focused on this being a good matchup this week, which is it. Not sure not enough credit being given to Kizer for the brutal 5 game stretch he just endured, mostly without Gordon or a healthy Coleman and he was not even terrible. In that 5 game stretch 4 of the 5 D's he faced are in the top 9 in the NFL for least passing yards given per game. Quite possibly the most difficult 5 game stretch any QB has faced this season. And that one game he had against a non-top 9 D he put up a big fantasy game against the Lions.

Rushing: He's giving 5.5 a game in fantasy points on the ground which helps his floor but he's also been knocked out or removed from multiple games and I think the weapons he has opens things up even more for him, I expect this number to increase going forward.

Gabbert is meh, good matchp and not much of a running game, I figure he can get you a solid game so he's usable. Fair to think he should be in mid 250'ish range in passing yards, 20ish on the ground and hope for some TD's but not the upside of Kizer.

I will not be surprised if Kizer is QB1 this week. I won't predict that, but I will predict top 10 and worth every penny in DFS leagues. Only thing that I think can go wrong is early injury related exit.
