D.Walker - ND (1 Viewer)

Tough to say. He's never really stood out to me as special, but he's a well-rounded back who does a lot of things well. I could see him sneak into day one if he shows well at the combine.

Where does he rank with this years RB class, now that he has declared?

I really want to see his combine numbers. I'm a huge ND fan, but I've never really though Darius would make a good NFL back. He has good vision and patience, decent but not great shiftiness.... but I always felt he lacked burst getting through the hole. I think with the faster defenses in the NFL his game may not translate well to the NFL.Though, I could be wrong, maybe he appears slower than he really is. So I'd like to see his splits. Still, I wouldn't want to see my team draft him.

One thing he has going for him is playing in a pro-style offense in college. One thing hs has going against him is Weiss comparing the guy to Faulk.....Kevin Faulk. I would expect a middle round selection for depth by some team that may try the kid at halfback but more than likely would use him as a 3rd down back. Giants? In case Jacobs can't handle the load they can use this guy.....

Kid could make a passable gunner on coverage teams. He's getting quality advice. Pass up his degree for 4th round money. He ought to be able to hang around the league for at least two years. He should have about 1/3 the success Tony Fischer has managed.
