Dallas cutting Dez (1 Viewer)

I think you're right. His cap was 16, his salary for 2018 was I think 12.5.

Idk why a team wouldn't be on the hook for the 12.5 though if they traded for him
because I think Dal takes a cap Penalty from my understanding for trading him. I could be wrong though.

Those two topics aren't related.  Dallas would take a cap hit relating to "eating the cost" of remaining years of the signing bonus accrual.  His salary would still have to be paid - or renegotiated - and that is an independent issue.

Dez can pull his "woah is me" act and blame others, but he is simply not the player he was 3-4 years ago anymore.  I believe that if a WR is gonna make that much money, he had better be a stud and produce like a stud.  Dez does not anymore.

Other than being desperate and signing Greg Hardy, what are all these awful moves that they’ve made over the past several years?
They whiffed on most of their FA moves last year, How they handled the Romo situation, The Dez Bryant deal, Not signing a capable back up for Sean Lee, uh LT? Yes the Signing of Hardy was pretty bad. McClain signing, keeping Jason Garret, Carrol, Pae and Moore all off the roster before mid season last year,

That’s all you have? The Cowboys for the past for five years have routinely let the high dollar free agents pass and signed cheap guys to fill needs such as Carrol and Paea.

Not one of those guys cost the Cowboys a lot of money.

The Bryant contract was the last bad contract they gave out and after this year the Cowboys will have a ton of cap space to work with.

The cowboys are just like every other team out there, there just isn’t a lot of depth behind your starters. If you have one of the best in the league at a position you simply cannot allocate a ton of resources to their back ups. How are the Cowboys any different than anybody else?

Who is Von Miller’s back up? Who is the stud that comes in for Luke Kuechly when he goes out for steroid use?

How exactly did they handle the Romo career ending/threatening injury and his subsequent retirement? It looks like to me they believe they found their franchise quarterback in the fourth round who has a salary of about $400k.

The year before last Jason Garrett was coach of the year.  A lot of cowboy fans don’t like Jason Garrett but I’m going to give him one more year before I blow the whole thing up.

By all accounts the Cowboys had a horrible year last year riddled with injuries and offensive woes, yet they still managed to get nine wins.

If that’s what you call poorly run then I believe you’re reaching. I would think somebody who roots for the Redskins would truly know what bad franchise management is.
