I agree...Spencer>Connor>SimsI was guessing Sims, b/c he will now play in base and subpackage snaps, but I didn't watch the game to see who played which subpackages after Carter was hurt. Sims' stat line wasn't impressive, but he is known as a cover guy, and coverage has always been Connor's weakness.Ah, now read this from the good Dr. Bramel:**The Cowboys primarily used a 2-4-5 package on passing downs after Bruce Carter's injury, with both Dan Connor and Ernie Sims on the field. When they played dime, Sims was the only ILB on the field. I'm not certain we'll see that after Rob Ryan takes 10 days to re-evaluate.
Time to re-visit this thread since Dallas is reportedly making the switch to the 4-3 which means...
Dallas MLB Sean Lee appears likely to move-up onto the next and possibly highest IDP point production level.
He's had injury issues in the past but I've seen that with other 3-4 ILBers. When they get a shot playing the middle of a 4-3 they become more durable since they've got two big DTs in front of them gobbling up blockers.
Not only do they become more durable but their production also goes up so I think you have bump-up Dallas MLB Sean Lee.
I'm curious if anyone has any insight into who is likely to be in on the subpackages- Lee or Carter- I know Carter was considered among the fastest LBs in the draft, with good coverage skills, but I don't think Lee is too shabby in coverage himself. Any Dallas fans or others have any insight?
