Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a three-year contract with QB Damon Huard. Huard wouldn't reveal terms, but the deal is believed to be worth approximately $7.5 million. Huard was scheduled to become a free agent. The signing of Huard puts QB Trent Green's return in question.

good move! Chiefs will drop Trent Green most likely.

they were better with Huard than they were Green

as an LJ owner, this situation had me worried that Croyle would be the opening day QB, and that would have killed LJ's chances of being a top 10 RB,i.e, he would have seen many 8 and 9 man fronts.

As much as it pains me to say it as a fan of Trent Green the player and the man, I am glad that Carl got this done. Huard fits the gameplan better and is 3 years younger than Trent. I think Trent has now played his last game as a Chief. In no way do I see him staying here while taking a pay cut, and having his QB coach canned.....in addition to changing his game to what Herm wants.

Trent has been somewhat of a system QB. I don't know where he fits outside of DET or WASH right now/

the amount did surprise me, but he is going to be 34 in July. His value was really at its highest in KC where he knew the offense, so I would bet he realized that and decided to stay here.

He is about the same age Gannon was when he left KC and went to OAK....I wonder if Carl & Co. did not want a sequel?
