He seemed to be a tackle machine when he had some opportunity, but I know they won't play him in the nickel, limiting his upside. Can he warrant LB3 possibility in a balanced league?
To answer the original question I say yes for sure. He has already proven he can do that. He might work out to be a matchup type of player but that is ok too. The MLB on that defense has always done well regardless of snap count. I think he puts out a season similar to Tulloch's the year before they made him an every down player.
It looks like things didn't change much for Conner in the game. I believe he was mainly a 2 down player. Jason Williams WLB, Conner MLB, Anderson SLB on base packages. Thomas Williams and Anderson on nickel packages.
