Ugh. Don't get me started. Though I guess they figured one of them would slide to the PS. Probably going to promote Grant what's his name from PS squad now with this Gronk gone. Really have to question how they have managed bottom of TE roster and S position this season. Also, with Vollmer nagging injury, why release Maneri?

The Pats cut Yeatman prior to the season, and the Pats reportedly were hoping he would sneak through waivers so they could claim him and sign him to their practice squad. Smith didn't really impress in camp. Dan was available after being cut by the Cowboys - they were probably looking for a 3rd TE after they couldn't swipe up Yeatman, and thought Dan would work. I have a hunch Dan could sign to the practice squad if he goes through waivers. I think with thinning OL problems and Dan's recent hamstring injury, they thought it was best to bring up an OL from the practice squad before they leave for Buffalo.

Maneri has been less then impressive, having been one of those Pats players that has been cut and then signed several times over the past few years.

You really think they would cut Rob Gronkowski? Why would you think anyone OTHER than Dan?

I think your already smart enough to know which one I knew it was.It is however a stanfard rule to post a specific name in a situation of more than one name in the league, is that not obvious? Its to prevent confusion and for those who are new or may not be as well educated at football as others.Also, I have seen big name cuts that were like Like I said, people just skim over, others may see that and freak out.The bigger question is... is the person to busy to type 3 extra letters?Also, others think this trust me, I'm just the guy says it.

It's a good thing this thread was fixed because I would have gone bananas. Yesterday my friend Mark saw this thread, and he picked up his laptop and through it across the room at his wife (it hit her in the pancreas and she's been to a specialist since), then stormed into the kitchen and overturned the table (which had just been set for dinner), and then started bellowing at his 5-year-old as he grabbed her by the throat. His brother in law had to tackle him and let him know that it was DAN Gronkowski. Boy did he have egg on his face.

So thank goodness this thread title was changed. Think about how many lives that saved.

Ok, so does anyone have any ideas how this affects the one remaining Gronk on the Pats? Main question being does he block more? Or are the Pats just using o-linemen to handle the TE2 & TE3 blocking?

I beg to differ.... Is the person to lazy to click on the post to find out the full name of the player? Obviously not, given he is in a Fantasy forum looking to post and read posts.
