Sports Illustrated Fantasy Focus had an article about his league (he plays with Erik Lindgren, Gavin Smith and local bartenders and dealers). Some anecdotes about the auction are in the article. 100$ cap auction with 14 players:

This team definitely sucks unless there's some magic TE points are worth 5 times as many points as all other positions rule.

Yeah, they'd let you win the league .... then win it back plus your mortgage payment on the poker table.

Guys - Negreanu is Canadian - give the guy a break. Besides, we don't know the scoring system - maybe the TE gets 2 PPR...or something.

Its in auction draft and they $100 to bid on players....Not that hard to figure out...its not that he paid $100 to get in the league....doh.

I would guess that is Jeff Wilkins and just spelled wrong...or I dont see a kicker.

who knows, it may be a TD only league. that might make a little sense. but I cant figure spending 1/4th of my cap of a backup RB in MJ-D. And after that, Brandon Jacobs and Michael Bennett? Im cutting him some slack because it sounds like he must be a newbie.
