Darrel Jackson Shark Play? (1 Viewer)

Looking at the scenario, he ends up being the number 1 receiver on a team with a good QB.

He was on waivers in my league, but we use 5 flex spots and I had room for him so I am plugging him in.

I can't see Royal (a rookie although a talented one) taking everything away from Jackson.

The Raiders are pretty easy to run on. But, I can see Jackson having a 7 or 8 catch day for 65 to 80 yards and TD.

And, although I can't see him going over 100 yards really , with a great day I could see 75 yards and 2 TD's.

Not bad for a 3rd or 4th WR spot.

Talk some sense into me or agree with me. What says the Shark Pool?

good luck with that. I say the true shark play here will be Brandon Stokley, who is probably on your waiver wire.

70 and a TD Max, Raiders D is going to be awsome this year and with an improving O they will get some breathing time!!!!!

Certainly plausible, if not a bit of wishful thinking. How's the toe, or whatever the injury du jour is? Haven't really followed him since he left the 9ers (what a fiasco that was, although not all his fault), but he proved in Seattle that, when able, he was a shark play more often than not. Does Cutler look for him? I think that, despite the Scheffler crap that Skeletor has been perpetuating, Cutler's roomie is really the shark play here, at least for week one......

Gotta agree w/ Moleculo to some extent. Stokeley or (hopefully) Scheffler could be more effective in this matchup.

DJax will get some, but OAK's corners are about the best in the league right now. He should catch 5 or so, just b/c there aren't many other options, but I wouldn't count on the TD. My main concern here is Jackson basically did NOTHING in the pre-season to warrant any optimism. Assuming he will somehow get enough sepparation vs. Asomugha or Hall looks like a reach.

I have DJax, and could start him in a flex, but am going w/ A Hall instead.

I've had him plugged in is a my #3WR all week. I keep trying to replace him with another WR, but can't. I agree with the original poster that he is the default #1WR with Marshall out and Cutler is too good to not get his passing yards, meaning someone has to be catching the balls.

I project somewher in the 70 yard range +/- 10 yds with 1 TD. I don't see any way he doesn't get in the endzone at least once with a rotating backfield, and a rookie WR opposite him. You've got to figure Cutler is good for 2 TDs at least, i think 1 is to DJax. If I can get 8-10 points from my WR #3 I'm extremely happy.

Crossing my fingers it pays off with this start.

same page... Cutler should get 225 passing in my projections.Jackson 75 yards and TDScheffler 45 yards and TDRB's 30 yardsRoyal 45 yardsStokely 35 yards

:lmao: Oakland may have two of the best starting corners in the league in Hall and Asoumugha. They could really put the clamps on lesser talents WRs like DJax and Royal. This points to a lot of underneath stuff to Stokely and Scheffler.

Jackson got 14 points... 1 pass and 1 TD over 40 yards for bonus points, pure luck... But, I'll take the points.

Stokely .... not so much.
