The Rate My Team thing gave my starting RB corp a D+. Gibbs and Kaleb Johnson. Ok.
And it said that although I was A+ at starting TE and bench TE, I can only start one of them. That's what it said. Even though I could start 4 if I wanted to.
Is the DB even programmed correctly to this Sleeper league's settings? The WR write-up suggested it's a start 3 WR league and not 2. Oh well my teams are almost always blasted by these kinds of tools. Nobody has ever built a rate my team tool or a trade calculator that believes rookies can break out.
I will need my WRs to hit. Metcalf, Wilson, Flowers, Waddle, Coleman are all going to be super solid IMO. I believe in Tre Harris but in my experience in start 2-WR leagues you just don't need more than 6. I think WR is a sneaky strength of my team.
ETN is my 3rd RB and I think he will continue to have PPR Flex value and occasion RB2 usage. My backup RBs are more or less dart throws that I have some belief in. Ray Davis just has a lot of handcuff upside and I will likely put him on the trade block. Tahj Brooks is going to be the #2 in Cincy as far as I can tell and he could end up being a very solid stand alone guy as the #2 on a superb offense. JCM in Washington can't get enough love right now and I even saw a blurb suggesting Robinson getting traded or cut (IDK). RB depth is typically my biggest weakness in most of my redraft builds over the years and I wish I could have drafted about 2-3 more upside late RBs and I'm not super stoked about my performance here. Other than to say I think Gibbs and Kaleb Johnson can really crush at RB1 and RB2. But I'd give my starters a B+ and my bench a D.
QB I only took Fields as my single QB. I mean... there are 6 starting caliber QBs that I like on the wire right now. Other squads are going to try and hoard. Ok. Good luck. I obviously have some belief in Fields but I don't see it much different from drafting Lamar or Allen or Hurts... you're going to start that guy. If he really face plants and gets replaced then I will have to pivot. But... what difference does it make if I roster that pivot during the draft or during week x, y or z? They're going to be available and the hoarders are only taking value from themselves by not rostering upside at other positions. I've won leagues with streaming QBs it isn't that crazy. If Fields simply keeps the job then I hold a FF edge against many opponents and all he has to do is break one 50 yard TD and it swings the week for me. If he throws a TD to Wilson I get the stack bonus. I don't think the rate my team tool understands the dynamics of a single QB league but it also seems I'm probably the minority. People are assuming Fields falters. They might be right.
TE if a couple of these other guys hit I'm going to be able to use them as flex starters. Bowers. Kincaid, Strange, Arroyo should all do well enough to flex from time to time.
DEF - really? I'm kind of blown away how many DEFs were drafted so early in both the leagues I'm in. Seems like scoring settings are pretty standard. The only possible quirk is the possibility of negative points, which I think there is an argument that a premier unit really holds an advantage over an average DEF. But we get this wrong every year. Seems like a no brainer to wait until the last round to me. I ended up with DET and I think they are a top unit. So... I give my DEF a solid A-.
