That method is easy and was what I was talking about as the normal method.

Interesting as well that he had to add two numbers to get the 7. He asks the first guy for a number 1-10. Presumably most people say 7. But he said 3 in this case. And he immediately asked the next guy for a number 1-5. When the response was 4 he got a total of 7, which was what he was looking for. As someone else mentioned, since we don't know the rules in advance he can always get the number right.

Fallon seemed to be doing some bad acting to me.
I looked at it a few times. Notice the distortion of his hand's reflection (behind the glass) at 9:47-9:49. There's something different about the shape in the glass.
Has to be just an exploding cup in his mouth. But then the show had a super slow-mo of the bullet entering. I can't find a clip. Maybe they shot some type of soft fake thing in there.
