David Blaine is at another level (1 Viewer)

Look how simple it is for this guy to persuade people to pick a certain card. Blaine's doing much more so the chances of getting someone to pick his card are that much greater. It's almost a lock Fallon is going to say the 9 of diamonds.

That method is easy and was what I was talking about as the normal method.

Blaine does have only a few cards showing when Fallon looks, so that's probably it... but that seems pretty risky, even if he has a handful of cards that will work.

The cards are out of sight when we see fallon's eyes looking down at them but it looks like Blaine fans through the whole deck.

He's palming the next 7 cards when he taps the deck (at 7:11) and says "10 is the original number" when the cards to heart guy is counting out the 13.
Interesting as well that he had to add two numbers to get the 7. He asks the first guy for a number 1-10. Presumably most people say 7. But he said 3 in this case. And he immediately asked the next guy for a number 1-5. When the response was 4 he got a total of 7, which was what he was looking for. As someone else mentioned, since we don't know the rules in advance he can always get the number right.

Yeah - I think Willie has the card trick but the glass was my first thought too on the aquarium trick.  I watched it several times and it sure looks like a normal glass - you can see his hand through it, not sure how that's possible with a trick glass.
I looked at it a few times.  Notice the distortion of his hand's reflection (behind the glass) at 9:47-9:49.  There's something different about the shape in the glass.

He actually counts out those 7 cards he palms right in front of everyone at 6:56 when he shows the cards to heart guy how to count out the 13 cards he has. Then you can see the way he's holding the deck when the guy is counting, his right hand is on top of it.  It's also very close to the pile. He only has to palm the cards for a split second.

To some people knowing how a trick is done ruins it.  For me it's  just the opposite - the skill a really good magician has is just so impressive. Even if you know that he palms a certain number of cards at a certain time,  it's still almost impossible to see.  The dexterity involved is just amazing to me .
