Wide receiver Efrem Hill took every punt return of the preseason, and averaged an impressive 11.3 yards per return. That wasn't enough to keep a job however, as the Panthers released him. Ball security always seemed to be an issue with Hill, and there were times he chose poorly on which balls to field and which to fair catch.With him out of the picture, cornerback Chris Gamble will likely handle returns.
