Cullen Jenkins - GB

Reggie Haywood - Jac

Paul Spicer - Jac

James Hall - Det

Dewayne White - TB

Chike Okeafor - Ari

these players are either FA in my league or could probably be had cheap.

who has the most potential for next year ?

thanks

Late in the season Pendergast was moving Chike around and standing him up. He had 12 solos 4 assist and 5.5 sacks in final four games, plus a pair of FF's. Whisenhunt retained Pendergast as DC, so you may see more of the same with Okeafor next year. I would be all over him!!!

The one topping my sleeper watch list is Victor Adeyanju STL. He has the speed/size/strength combo to emerge as a stud, he's a force in pursuit and really just needs a few more pass rushing moves and a little experience.

Def. one to watch

thanks Petea lot of mocks I see have Arizona taking a DE round 1.would this cut into his playing time ?

I just picked up Cullen Jenkins cheap in FA. If he can duplicate for a year what he did the last month of last season - he would be worth rostering and starting.

I noticed his jump in production as well. Thanks for the input.

YWNot sure, but Bert Berry has missed 14 games in the past 2 seasons and this may be a concern, he'll be 32 when season starts, not over-the-hill for a DE, but couple that with the injuries and who knows. Maybe a homer will give you more insight.

YWChike could be in for a big year next year!

Depending on Free Agency and the draft its also very possible he falls completely off the planet

I guess so ... I dont know enough about Arizona's FA and draft want/needs to agree or disagree. I would think they are more concerend with Berry than Okeafor.

Andre Carter WAS, had a lot of hype leading into last season, flopped and was a FA in most leagues by week 4-5.

His end of the season sorts show different. He'd be a lot better if there was someone other than him rushing the passer in WAS.

Check out his last six weeks sorts and he is a top five guy during that period.

I just picked him up in RFA/UFA in a Zealot league. Hoping he can pick up where he left off.

Andre Carter?
I have him rostered, wouldn't say he's off the radar (at least he shouldn't be), as others pointed out he got it going late in the year.
 I was about to mention him. The light seemed to suddenly click on for him at the end of the season - keep in mind that he'd been played out of position as a stand-up ROLB for the last 2-3 years in SF, so it may have taken him that long to reacclimate to a new defense and his traditional (and natural) RDE spot. His weakness is at the point of attack vs. the run, so he may become a 2nd/3rd down specialist at times, and the team is looking like it will draft a D-lineman if it keeps the 1.06 pick, but that's about the only negative info you have to worry about.

Branch, Gaines, who do you think and will they try and trade out of the spot?Just picked up Carter but may not keep him when rosters get down to 35.

Trade downs are hard to predict but their price will certainly be two first day picks. As for who they pick, my impression is this: if Anderson's there they take him; otherwise, barring a trade-down it's a toss-up between Gaines and Branch. Personally, I hope it's Gaines because their need is greater at end, but I really don't know which way they'll go.

I hope so. He went from and every-week starter to last on the bench for me. Too bad as he had awesome numbers down the stretch. The consistency is what I liked. How bout posting this info sooner? :scared:

Paging through last season's draft day thread to see where we went right/wrong and was reminded of the Panthers' Stanley McClover.

With Al Wallace released last week (and possibly not returning) and Mike Rucker coming off a serious knee injury, McClover might be a sneaky candidate to get some nice playing time by camp's end. McClover came out a year too early last season according to most folks and fell all the way to the 7th round. Good edge rusher, but not bulky enough to be a solid two-way end. Wasn't proficient enough on special teams to get much playing time on Sundays, but John Fox had some nice things to say about his development at year's end.
