DE or LB (1 Viewer)

Anyone know a website that tracks where a player lines up in a game? I know some players play both DE and OLB and looking for a site that tracks their appearances at each position

ProFootballFocus used to provide player participation data, then moved that content behind a pay wall last year at a prohibitive cost for most. I'm not sure it's available at all this year.

Some beat writers will count up snap counts at each position and note them in blog posts by midweek, but it's hit or miss at best.

I do a fair amount of film review of defensive players every week during the season. It won't be accurate to the snap, but I can provide some idea of percentages and usage if there are a few players in which you're interested.

Trying to figure out which Chargers play both DE and LB.

The Chargers have put their OLB in a three point stance in subpackages often over the past few years. I've seen both Phillips and English line up that way and it was Phillips and LaBoy as defensive ends in the nickel package last week. I'd assume Antwan Barnes would do the same if needed. Greg Manusky is in the same coaching family as Wade Phillips, who routinely uses a 4-2-5 as his preferred nickel package.

It's going to be available from what I know. (Here's the link)They also reduced their price to ~$30 / year
Does that include the player participation data? If it does, I didn't see it (although I admittedly did not spend much time looking).

The player participation data -- where each player aligned on each snap -- is not available in any form by subscription this year. The premium stats subscription will show you the position at which a given player took the most snaps in that game and how many snaps they took, but no more than that.
