Dealing with deadbeat fantasy football team owners (1 Viewer)

I would suppose if you are a commissioner you probably have had to deal with this. I thought using leaguesafe would make life easier and it has its advantages but like I was told by them, they are not a collection agency. If someone doesn't pay don't expect them to deal with it the way a business owner would.

Not as much of an issue in redraft leagues as it is in dynasty and keeper leagues with returning owners. I don't know if these owners can fathom how much hassle it is for the commissioners. Probably going to have to replace 1-2 owners in a league because they haven't paid yet and I am not letting anyone draft who hasn't paid their entry fee.

These are usually the same guys that don't check in to their keeper/dynasty league pages for 175 days in the winter, ignore trade offers or don't vote etc

I've that a good solution is just to set up a whole bunch of leagues, collect from whoever I can collect from, and then disappear with all the money before I have to pay out any prizes. You can make a good income in a low cost-of-living state like Utah for example this way.

If you know they are going through rough times you could also accept coupons. Just make sure the value of the coupons is at least 3x the fees owed.

Is somebody trolling the Pool? We've had a couple of these threads the past few days.

"If you want a really 'outside the box' perspective on the fantasy question you've posed, try running it by the guys over in the Free For All."

At some point in time, these guys have to get with the program.

I mean if magic football team management isn't a priority year round, then you have some seriously messed up priorities, amirite?

Yes, the free for all is where you get the answers you seek. Although, IvanKaramazov has a pretty good idea there. And it's a good idea to listen to him, he's pre-med.

The shark move and FFA move is to not pay out after a faulty busines transaction or i gambled The league fees away. try that this year and show them all!!
