**** THIS LEAGUE IS NOW FULL..... Our league is going on it's 5th season. We started the league on Yahoo and moved it to FleaFlicker at the beginning of last season. I was tired of the deadbeat Yahoo owners using the league as a mock draft or losing in the 1st week and leaving. Yahoo's scoring restrictions also prevented me from installing a scoring system which I was comfortable with. I can't stand standard scoring leagues where the QB's and a handful of RB's score all the points. That doesn't represent the game of football to me. I wanted to create a league where a football fan that had never played fantasy football could still do well. They wouldn't need to know all the little tricks and such on how to build a good fantasy team. I want the best players to score the most points. I have pretty much accomplished that but no scoring system will ever be perfect. The league has gotten a few more good owners each season and we are always looking for a few more good, dedicated owners. I would like for the team owners to sign in at least 3 - 4 times a week to make sure they don't miss any trade votes and other league info. Inactive owners or guys who only sign in on Sunday and set their team up, ruin the game.
We have 1 opening left for this season. One of the current owners can't make the draft and decided that if he can't draft his team, he would rather wait and maybe try to pick up a team at a later date if someone quits. We are starting the league over this season because of the teams being a little lopsided and finding new owners for bad abandoned teams would be next to impossible. I have come up with a few new keeper rules which may help prevent this in the future. You will keep 6 offensive players and 6 defensive players. There will be position caps (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 3DB, 3DL and 3LB). We will do this for 3 or 4 seasons (league vote will be held to decide) and then the keeper limits will drop to 3 on offense and 3 on defense with position limits of 1 player per position on offense and 2 players per position on defense for 1 season. Then we will go back to the 12 keepers for 3 or 4 seasons. I want to do this to give every owner 3 or 4 seasons to build their championship team and then replenish the draft pool with good players to help the teams that will have new owners or have existing owners that made bad decisions.
