<6 month old Windows 8.1 Dell XPS, near top of the line, and the hard drive crashed. No idea what is going to be recoverable, but this is the 2nd time a dell desktop has

You would think that i learned the last time to A) not get a dell, and B) just pay the $100 a year for online backup. Luckily i'm much more in the cloud these days and i did occasionally backup to a local external drive. So i wont be completely S.O.L. like last time, but still...
