Denver Insights - Things To Do / Visit / Eat / Drink (1 Viewer)

What's a good place to hike (non-hikers), not terribly far from Denver, but also good views?

Looking at options for restaurants, and things like that...

I am far from an expert but depending on when your going Watertown canyon would be good this week. It is at a lower elevation and should not have any snow until Thursday at the earliest.

There are others as well, I only know that one because I stay in southwest Denver when I visit and is convenient for where I stay. It would not have a bad commute from downtown and you get to avoid taking either 6 or 70 however it is not up high in the mountains.
Why not go with Decatur? Checks all the boxes.

I hope there is not a Decatur, Colorado. If there is maybe I am in a nightmare :alien:

Bumping this up. I'm going for the Steelers game in September, staying at the Magnolia on 17th street. Travelling solo, won't have a car but am open to ridesharing, train, whatever. Seems like I have a lot of options within walking distance. I'll be there Friday, early, and leaving Monday.

Looking for updated food recs, city sights (not really a museum guy, but will check out things unique to the area). Not sure if I'll hike but I'll take those recs, too. Might be pretty perfect weather for that. I also see Colorado's MLS team is playing the Saturday night before the game, so might do that.

Not really a cider fan but this sounds awesome:

braised bison short rib - creamy polenta | poached egg | demi glaze

Panzano in Hotel Monaco is about a block from Magnolia and is superb, fine dining Italian. It's pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Very fun spot

Which shows? I'm looking at a few myself. Hope to make it out there for Tedeschi Trucks for sure.

Two Lord Huron shows first week of June. They are my wife's favorite band. Also have tickets to see them that Friday at Mission Ballroom, but I just saw that JRAD is playing at Red Rocks that night so I need to convince her we need to change plans.
Shuke or anyone wanna chime in on Mission Ballroom venue? Looks like most areas in there are general admission except one balcony type area on each side - at double the price. Worth the extra cost, visibility-wise?

We did the floor and were about 5-10 rows from the stage. Visibility was great. All depends if you like standing in GA or not.
