What does everyone predict in regard to Denver's WRs? Who has a bigger year Decker or Demaryius Thomas? Or, do you see someone else stepping up? What will Decker and D Thom's stats be this year?
I liked what I saw from Thomas more than Decker last year. However, with a new QB and system, nothing is certain. Both are worth owning and if Decker can come at a much cheaper value, he might be the value play. How do people compare the two of them to previous WRs with whom Manning has played? What does everyone predict in regard to Denver's WRs? Who has a bigger year Decker or Demaryius Thomas? Denver didn't spend that kind of money for a QB to "manage the game" ... he'll be throwing plenty. Think Edjerrin James' days in Indy ...I live in MN and know Decker from watching the Gophers. I am a GT alum and watched Thomas closely.Thomas has significantly more upside as a #1 and Decker is a solid possession receiver (#1A or #2). Both could easily be inthe top 25-30, with Thomas getting the nod as somewhere in the 10-15 range. Will Manning be healthy enough and will Fox let him throw it around enough to support 2 top-20 WR's? That's the big question for me.
Everyone thinks of Fox as a conservative coach and in some aspects he is but both Steve Smith and Mushin Muhammad finsihed as No. 1 overall WRs under Fox. If Manning is healthy, the Broncos will be throwing the ball.'JamesTheScot said:Will Manning be healthy enough and will Fox let him throw it around enough to support 2 top-20 WR's? I think the opposite. Decker was killing it with Orton in there. Once Tebow came in he went to THomas but a lot of those balls were just whipping it up. I think Decker outperforms Thomas outright. As a comparison, I think Decker could best the numbers Stokley put up in 04. He'll get a bigger piece of the pie than Stokley did.I liked what I saw from Thomas more than Decker last year. Is Decker small now?Decker seems like the early frontrunner imo, as he has been working out with Peyton a bunch. But Thomas' physical gifts are undeniable (I know the NFL is full of physical freaks who dont pan out). Has Peyton ever played with a WR as big as Thomas? Dude is lsited at 6'3", 235, dont think reggie Wayne was quite that big.
Also factor in that this is Thomas' 3rd year (typcially a 'break out' year for WRs) and it is safe to say the ball is in his court. If he applies himsefl and stays healthy he could be looking at a top 10-ish year.

All I know is that Cecil's annual Broncos Camp Report thread will be VERY interesting this year. Looking forward to that one more than ever.So who is the true sleeper there? Eddie Royal? Because I agree with Frankbot, the cat is out of the bag on Decker.
Yes, he is a super sleeper. Don't let Philip Rivers know, shhhh! So who is the true sleeper there? Eddie Royal? Because I agree with Frankbot, the cat is out of the bag on Decker.
What do the Chargers have to do with this?'Sabertooth said:So who is the true sleeper there? Eddie Royal? Because I agree with Frankbot, the cat is out of the bag on Decker.
I don't know....just a wild guess here but it could have something to do with the fact that he is, in fact, a San Diego Charger now? Just throwing that out there as one possible explanation. What do the Chargers have to do with this?'Sabertooth said:So who is the true sleeper there? Eddie Royal? Orange Julius baby! Cecil picks sleepers that are too deep. They don't even get playing time. He slants towards youth way too much. God bless him.'Frankbot said:All I know is that Cecil's annual Broncos Camp Report thread will be VERY interesting this year. Why are you getting sarcastic? You seem to be the only one that didn't realize Royal was in SD now.You guys ever here of a little thing called trades?I don't know....just a wild guess here but it could have something to do with the fact that he is, in fact, a San Diego Charger now? Andre Caldwell looked decent with Cinncy and he'll likely be the WR3 for the Broncos. They also signed Bradon Stokely - but I don't thik we can count on him at age 35-36.'Sabertooth said:So who is the true sleeper there? Eddie Royal? Yeah, I thought I was the one being sarcastic (one of my main virtues, BTW)Why are you getting sarcastic?
