Deuce McAllister (1 Viewer)

He was undervalued in most drafts and outperforming probably most of his owners' expectations, thanks to all of the Reggie Bush hype.

He just ran for 123 yards, 1 td this week against Tampa. Does his value get any higher? Will his role diminish as the year goes on or are the Saints going to stick with their current balance and how they use Bush/McAllister?

Here's his schedule from this point on:

6 Oct 15 PHI

7 bye

8 Oct 29 BAL

9 Nov 5 @ TAM

10 Nov 12 @ PIT

11 Nov 19 CIN

12 Nov 26 @ ATL

13 Dec 3 SFO

14 Dec 10 @ DAL

15 Dec 17 WAS

16 Dec 24 @ NYG

He faces a few tough run defenses with BAL, PIT and ATL...an ok playoff schedule. Just curious as to how others feel about McAllister the rest of the year.

I have not shopped him around to everyone but I am looking to sell to shore up my RB position. I have Gore, Foster, McGahee and Mcallister and hate playing ring-around-the-rosey with them but no one wants to trade.

I offered one owner this past week Foster, Mcallister, and Jon Kitna (the guy could use and start all three) for Ronnie Brown, Nate Burleson, and Brandon Stokley. It was turned down and I guess that is a good thing.

Im not selling Deuce. With Bush on board, Deuce will stay fresh all year and he will be the guy the eat the clock when the Saints have a lead. I wouldnt be surprised to see him finish as a top 15 FF RB, which is great for a RB2.

I'm glad he didnt take that trade, Kev. :banned: It was only a year or two ago we were drafting Deuce 3-5 overall, and Foster is looking every bit as good as Brown as well.

I keep thinking of wanting to sell to upgrade the WR position to help with bye week issues as well. Maybe I could get Chad Johnson from the owner but most likely not. PPR I have Boldin, Bryant, Bruce and Ward so far... Johnson would be a nice addition. I'll wait to see if I can land Bryant Johnson in this weeks waivers though before I offer any deal.On a side note, I like how NO is using Reggie Bush so far. Instead of using Mcallister as the check off for Brees he uses Bush first after a WR all the while keeping Mcallister in to block or stay fresh by not taking hits. Seems to be working so far although at the cost of WR production.

HOLD!!

Deuce looks great in part time work - the only other part-timer who looks better is NOT his runnig mate. It is Lawrence Maroney.

Thank GOD for you, Psych. that trade would have been disastrous.

In case you missed it I was not ACF'ing this thread. I was offering insight as to where people view Mcallister. I had a point, you did not. Quit pissing in the pool.

Maybe the dude has the same problem of not wanting to play the ring-around-the-rose game.Quit pissing on Sharks who may or may not be pissing in the Shark Pool. Its his pool too. If he wants to swim in his own piss, let him do it.

To stay on topic, I personally would hold onto McAllister as i see his production to remain of the top 15 FF caliber. Of course, his consistency relies heavily on whether the Saints can continue to win.

Unlike in the other games this year Deuce not only put up good stats but looked very, very good doing it. I think he's a hold at this point, you won't get fair value with Bush there.

:goodposting: i agree with you 100%. not selling deuce and i'm starting him over maroney from now on.
