Looks like Bishop's got a shot at coming back - if the Packers so choose. Note: I haven't heard anything on their end saying they'd use this on Bishop. The only thing I've heard is that his specific injury wouldn't neccesarily take the entire season to heal. Maybe they bring Bishop back early? Who knows? Any Packers fans know any more?

Found a link from over in the Shark Pool Thread saying that there will be an exemption this year if a player has already been placed on IR before the Sept 4th deadline. The team could add him to the roster, then place him back in IR and then he'd be eligible.But if you're saying the Packers don't think he'd make it back in time anyway - I guess it's irrelevant.

Apparently teams have a one time exemption to remove a player from IR back onto the 53 man roster to take advantage of the new partial aeason IR due to the timing of the rule addition.Bishop is a candidate for the exemption.

Ted thought he was badly hurt but it would be nice to have him back before the NFL playoffs. They did delay putting him on IR though.

They have several defensive moves to make. Yesterday I heard they will play even less base defense than the 25% they played last season(where Woodson plays safety).

Last night night McMillan (the rookie from main) started at safety. The #2 CB hasn't been announced yet either. House(4th rnd pick last year) was looking like the favorite before his injury a few weeks back.
