DFS Scandals BEGIN - "INSIDER "TRADING" " (1 Viewer)

Those commercials are awful too, but drug companies are more crooked and cause more problems than almost anything else in the world. Unfortunately, they have more money than everyone else so they're not going anywhere.

Viagra commercial has that pretty lady with the lions jersey and the bed in the middle of the room. DFS needs more stuff like that, not some toads telling me how they won THOUSANDS!!!1!! and you can too!

I don't think I saw a single commercial for either of these clowns today!
Wouldn't surprise me at all if they all pulled the fire alarm on spending money. These guys are on notice. My guess is they stumble through the rest of the football regular season and both companies get reformed this offseason with govt oversight of some kind.

Where is the crooking?
Somebody want to explain it to Mr. Flat-earth here?
Well, if you know who the top players are on your site and can see their lineups prior to the start of games, conceivably you could copy those lineups and strategy to another site for profit.

I think the point of the article is that they knew their employees were cheating and issued a formal policy on how best not to get exposed.

In other words, not shocking at all.

Where is the crooking?
Somebody want to explain it to Mr. Flat-earth here?
So no evidence?
No written confessions yet, so people are still going to have to continue to rely on common sense.
Yeah... that is asking a lot.

Maybe you should use the internet for something other than going all fanboy on those hipster bands of yours. You know, live a little...stretch yourself.

So if you discovered you were playing Texas Hold-Em with a marked deck, you would be ok with it as long as they said they did not look?

So much money involved. It comes down to who has the most money to spend and if they can convince the people prosecuting them that keeping them around will benefit them in some way. Naturally, all the people being paid by them for advertising are going to stand behind them. Whether it's actually "gambling" or not doesn't even matter.

Anyone that thinks this has been 100% honest with no insider knowledge being used is insane. Waiting for John Lee to tell me he knows these guys personally and they're all great guys now.
People running these types of companies are always crooked in some way. These guys are just too obvious about it and probably screwed themselves.

Speaking of crooks, Illinois isn't paying any big lottery winnings until they can come up with a budget, yet can rule right away that DFS is gambling.

Talk about a freeroll of the taxpayers.

And the hits keep coming for Scam Duel, etc. Texas AG declares daily fantasy illegal gambling.

By this point, however, that distinction doesn’t really matter. Daily fantasy is now outright illegal or has been declared illegal in states where about a quarter of the country lives, including three of the five most populous states (Texas, New York, Illinois). The writing is on the wall.
Ummm.... my understanding is the Texas AG came out and said it is gambling, but is not outlawing it. So it is technically still legal to participate in Daily Fantasy sports in Texas. Your quoted comment is a tad misleading.

No need really. He opened the floodgates for lawsuits. Sounds like he wants the courts to actually do the shutting it down.

It's just a slower death.
