Yes.What happens to weapons and armor won by the season hero once the season's over? Does it become transferable like normal loot?
I have a pair of steel wings that spread open to reveal glowing orange feathers or something. It was just a really rare random drop, just like my 5 pets.I beat the latest rift challenge (Ice orb wizard) yesterday. They won't let us see her inventory bag so I can't figure out where the sweet wings are from. Can we win wings on season mode?
Popped an Ancient weapon for my build on only my 4th upgrade attempt. My Leapquake MOTA Barbarian is crushing season 13. In the last 24 hours I have added 250 paragon levels. I just cleared GR72 without a death. But I am definitely feeling the boss power creep up. It's taking a solid 45 seconds now to take him down. So I probably won't be able to go much higher than GR75 or so. At that point I'll need some replacement Ancient gear.
Building up my gems and putting on more paragon levels will of course help in boosting my power too. I'm actually getting 15+ levels for every GR clear right now. I know that won't last but it sure if fun right now. I never had that experience with my Wizard.

The Hellfire Amulet is part of my gear. Are you using the cube to get Caldesann’s Whatever on your ancient items?
Using the cube for the weapon/armor/jewelry abilities?
Get the Hellfire Amulet?
I haven't tried Crusader or monk yet (or necromancer). Those will be my next characters. I hit LVL70+ with the others. What are you guys favorite types of characters to play? I have started a player in each class, but only used the Wizard and the Demon Hunter to go beyond the cathedral in act 1 so far. I am trying to decide which one to go with next.
Yeah, I don't plan on paying for the necromancer. What did you think of Barbarian and Witch Doctor? I started using the Barbarian and at the low level he is very weak. I couldn't even kill a treasure goblin before it got away (playing on a higher level of difficulty - I think expert or the one higher than that). I find the twitching and mannerisms of the Witch Doctor to be annoying so I haven't really done anything with that character yet. I am level 70+ for Wizard and Demon Hunter so I want to try a different class.I haven't tried Crusader or monk yet (or necromancer). Those will be my next characters. I hit LVL70+ with the others.
Not sure the necromancer is worth $15 when I only paid $30 for the full ROS edition.
I've hit max level with every class. My favorites are barbarian, wizard, and witch doctor. The barbarian is the character I play if I don't want to worry about having to really pay attention, the wizard is my most powerful character, and the WD with a bajillion summons is just flatout fun.RC94 said:What are you guys favorite types of characters to play? I love my barbarian. I'm not even sure what his DPS is. When his rage his full and have my war cry active, he does 1,140,000 Damage. But I also have call of the ancients with no cool down so my group kills really fast and it's quite fun.RC94 said:Yeah, I don't plan on paying for the necromancer. What Set item groups are you using? I have the “...of the Wastes” with the 2 1-handed Bul-Kathos Set swords and my DPS is over 1.5mm when he is standing in town.I love my barbarian. I have less experience with WD, but having an entourage of dogs and gargantuans tank while you cast more spooky stuff from a distance is awesome too. My WD doesn't kill very fast but he also takes very little damage.
I don't have a set for my barb yet. It's just miscellaneous blackthorn and pieces MadCow and KANIL sent me. Only finishing GR22-ish right now. I can only imagine how sweet he would be if I knew what I was doing when I built him. What Set item groups are you using? Able to do GR75 fairly well but get my ### handed to me higher than that. Still need Caldesann’s on my jewelry, belt, pants and boots. That will add 4200+ STR to my stats.
Yeah, I watch Rhykker and bluddsport (or something like that). Good for noobs like me.Go to YouTube and look up a guy named “Rhykker”. He has vids on this that are really well done. Most classes.
Yeah, that's huge. Now get ready to get completely confused when you are whirlwinding and the enemy throws a wall up. To this day I still have "WTF, WHY AM I NOT MOVING" moments with my WW barb.Game-changer moment for the Barbarian when you unlock the passive ability where instead of losing fury he now gains it when inactive. Now I am able to use whirlwind as my primary way of attacking. I don't remember a game-changer like that for Wizard of Demon Hunter. I really liked the Wizard, but now I would say Barbarian is up there and better than Demon Hunter.
Basically, regular mode you can send weapons, gear and gems to other characters and players. You can't do that for a seasonal character.Broke down and bought this as we aren't playing much at home right now. The boys are playing FIFA, which I refuse to get in to as I know they will stop playing as soon as the World Cup is over.
Starting over, and not inclined to read through 72 pages of this thread (again). What is the difference (cliff notes version) of the different character types? Not mage vs barbarian, but "standard" vs "season hero" etc? To start, I just want to go through the campaign co-op with my boys. After that, I'll probably play a character by myself doing the seasons or whatever. Do these need to be separate characters?
OK, so if I start a seasonal character, would I still play through the campaign to level up, acquire gear, etc., or are there different things to play with seasonal characters? I think there also were more than just the two, four different options maybe?Basically, regular mode you can send weapons, gear and gems to other characters and players. Choose campaign mode (you play through the story). The other game mode options should be played after you finish the story imo.OK, so if I start a seasonal character, would I still play through the campaign to level up, acquire gear, etc., or are there different things to play with seasonal characters? I'm thinking the boys will get tired of it before I will, so I think I will have a couple of characters going for different purposes.Choose campaign mode (you play through the story). The other game mode options should be played after you finish the story imo.
IMO, if playing with your kids, do not play season mode, play regular mode so you can more easily share stuff
Yeah, play the campaign cuz the bosses within the context of the story are kinda neat. Once you beat it, play season journey on adventure mode to get the sweet armor sets.OK, so if I start a seasonal character, would I still play through the campaign to level up, acquire gear, etc., or are there different things to play with seasonal characters? Are you referring to a bloodshard? Or maybe a rift key? You need to beat a nephalim rift on Torment or higher difficulty to win a rift key, which unlocks a greater rift. You spend a rift key with each attempt at a greater rift.Another question, first time through a season from the start.
One of the season goals is to complete a rift requiring a shard (blanking on the nomenclature at the moment). I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a shard. I have completed a high number of rifts at the default setting (basic risk not requiring a shard), bit I have never found the shard to open the higher levels for the season goals. How do I get these? Do I have to be playing at a higher level? I'm just playing the second easiest.
I tried going up a level to see if that was the issue, but I did it in conjunction with switching my weapon, which seems to have been a mistake because my damage went way down (even moving back down a difficulty) so I am stuck until I come across another weapon.
Barbarian is probably the easiest to play for a beginner. They are also very strong without having to execute specific ability combos.need2know said:Just bought this and I'm a total noob with diablo. What class should I start with and any pointers? Got the pc version
