You should just be happy you got 2 points from Manning running for 20+ yards. That was more lucky than the non-TD was unlucky.

Sure the "smart" play is to down it. but Peyton could of easily ran it in. Did cost a guy in one league I am in. 6 points is a lot

Seen plenty of "did you win because of Dropped Ball X or holding call negating TD Y?" too over the years.

+1,000,000Should not be counting on rushing yards and TDs from Peyton, obviously. But I can see the other side of it: You are expecting that you are fresh out of sources for points in this game, they are going to run out the clock. Then you see the bootleg--ok a chance for more Peyton points. Then he takes off with no one around--ok a chance for some rush yard points--because they will catch him. Wait, still no one around--he is going to run for a long TD. The unthinkable--a 20+ yard Peyton RUSH TD! Then...waaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaa--he slides! Heartbreak in the moment...

I am probably going to win because he slid - the other owner was mad about it. Peyton is a player that would down it at the end of the game instead of running it in. The 20 yard run was what Peyton gets in a whole season of rushing stats, so that was a bonus in itself. I am surprised he didn't slide earlier - like directly after the first down - that's what I would expect from Manning.

stupid announcer kept saying he slid because he was going to be caught from behind. It was clear that he could have scored if he wanted to, but did the
smart thing and slid to end the game.

I was actually surprised when I logged on here late Sunday evening and didn't see all kinds of outrage over this, even though it was the smart play by Manning. But you know how FF owners are...

Yeah it is a little tough to say that Manning cost you, when he still had a serviceable game. I had a tough beat in week 16 last year when Witten catches a 60+ yard pass and got tackled at the 3 yard line, next play M. Barber (my opponents guy) goes in for the TD; I lost by 7 in what was a 12 pt. swing for me. To make matters worse, the next week, I out score the guy I would of played in our superbowl, it cost me about $1000. Witten did have 116 yards that week, so he got me the points that made it close in the first place; I can't blame him - kinda like Manning this week. Still hurts though, take a view.
