Digital Camera pic of the day (2 Viewers)

Another GREAT Fall year at my favorite spot..

Instead of linking to individual images, here is a link to the first image.. Just click Next to see all of them.
Love it.
:thanks: I've taken so many :pics: over the years from this angle that I'm hoping to get a pair of waders for next year.

That way I can cross over to the other side and take some from that shoreline.
I liked your composition on Fallwalk8 the best, but these things are very subjective

also like the lighting between the buildings in delivery
Thanks. This was my first experiment with using multiple exposures from a RAW file to fix lighting. That shaft of light between the buildings was completely blown out and there was no detail in the pavement. I used a darker image to mask in that space and then burned some detail out of the buildings. I did it kind of fast, so it's not perfect, but I liked the shot too much to give up on it.

Thanks guys!

Love that you got all the detail of the underside of the bridge without blowing out that wonderful marbled sky.
Thanks. I tried two different methods that day, I shot this one HDR, but the long curve I just shot RAW and them ramped up the "fill light" slider when importing into photoshop. I think it worked fine that way, with just one exposure.

That one is even cooler!

Thanks. Don't get me wrong, I like 'em both, I was just happy in the first one to be able to balance the under-bridge detail with the awesome sky that day in a single hand-held shot by using the Fill Light when importing RAW, instead of having to pull out the tripod and set up the 5-exposure HDR shot. On the HDR I'm most pleased it doesn't have the artificial look that I often see in HDR.

Exactly.

Some recent offspring from my budding love affair with the D600:

Sup

At this point, I'm shooting photos way faster than I can process them. Lately, it feels like back in the days when I first got started on this hobby.
Fantastic clarity here.. Feel a little  having those eyes stare right through me..

Good stuff, pants!

Has anyone found a good website for putting together photo books? I'm thinking of putting one together for Xmas. There are a ton of them out there but I'm not finding "the one" yet. I think my biggest issue is that it's tough to find one that doesn't re-crop my pictures if they're not the same size as the preset in the layouts. On some they'll give you the option of dragging your picture to new dimensions, but, it's difficult to be sure that it lands on the original ratio of the picture. I wish there was one that would let me put my pictures in at the aspect I've already cropped them to.

Hi camera guys. Looking to purchase a tripod for my wife's digital camera. Anything in particular I should be looking for? I've seen a couple of 50 to 52 inch ones at Wal-mart. I think something that's compact and lightweight, so it's easy to transport. TIA

For starters, definitely aim for compact and lightweight. The first thing almost anyone who's ever bought a tripod will tell you is how seldom they actually use it. The easier it is to carry around with you, the more likely you'll actually bring it.
