Hey Guys,

I was playing with an idea last night, and came up with the following picture. I would like a few comments, as I am thinking of submitting it into my camera club monthly contest

Defying Gravity

Very simple, but I like the way it turned ouut.

It's stark and interesting. But it might be too stark. I'd try the same pin in shallow focus in front of a soft, rich background. Maybe something as simple as some bath towels.

It's stark and interesting. But it might be too stark. I'd try the same pin in shallow focus in front of a soft, rich background. Maybe something as simple as some bath towels.Thanks Pant,This really is new territory fro me, so I really am not too sure what I think.

I will be trying it again with a few different variations though.

It almost has a Drawing type feel to it. Still, it needs soemhting to make it pop. You could try Pants idea.. Maybe more lighting to throw off more shadows?

I have a coupon for a free printing of digital image into an 11x14 and a 16x20 print but I don't have anything nice enough or high-res enough for the larger print. Any ideas on what I can do with the credit? Where can I get a nice high-res shot and for free??? Is this even possible?

Although I have many left to go through and post, this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites of this fall..

I like the "Mystical" aspect of this one.
