With a camera that can handle long shutter times I gave it a shot last night...

Very nice! How slow was the shutter for that shot? I'm guessing you had it on a tripod too ... ?

I was switching my shutter length from 15 seconds to 6 seconds.. This one happened to be:

Exposure: 6 sec (6)

Aperture: f/10

Focal Length: 55 mm

ISO Speed: 100

I also had to switch to Manual Focus, which takes a little practice when you are so use to using AF..

The spot I picked ended up being not the best as there was light pole directly to the left and if I didn't zoom in I ended up with extra light in the shot. I now know where NOT to setup for next year.

Just returned from a camping trip to Wet Beaver Creek. In our very first fbg photo contest, My shot of Wet Beaver Creek after a fresh snowstorm did very well.

So here's another shot taken from the same spot, just after a rain.

A really ugly bug - anyone know what it is?

We had a fantastic sunset last night - this was taken from the front of my house.

I added a fluorescent filter and punched the saturation.

Shots like that explain to people why I say a sunset is not a sunset without some clouds.
