Great picture. The background looked really familiar, so I looked up the lawfirm and realized that I drove past that location every day for 4 years. (I used to commute from Wrigleyville to Lake Forest via Lincoln Ave). I, unfortunately, had no luck picking up that woman despite many ill-fated attempts.
Looks just like it does when the Pirates are playing. Here's one I took a few months ago on the field at PNC Park

Actually we had 7,000 that day...so probably JUST a little more.Looks just like it does when the Pirates are playing. Here's one I took a few months ago on the field at PNC Park![]()
Thanks. This is my favorite of the 10 or so I posted on Flickr and doesn't count the 90 or so that didn't make it.

I was supposed to be at a retreat center this weekend up near Franklin/Oil City this weekend and was hoping to get some nice shots. Unfortunately my plans got changed. Looks like my only fall shots will come on the 25th at 7 Springs when me and the Mrs. head up for Autumnfest. Hopefully it won't be too late.I feel ya. Why you little.....

Thanks. Some years are better than others. That year was especially colorful and it hung around pretty late into the fall. Usually by the last weekend in October most of the leaves are on the ground. Probably won't be quite as nice this year. It was an especially dry late summer, so I think the leaves won't be able to hold on long after they turn. But we've had a lot of bright sunny days lately and that usually helps the colors.I really do enjoy your photos, guys. Keep it up. Seeing Cross's new series, it makes me wish that we got the bright fall colors in California. We get some, but nothing as dramatic.
Its going to be weird that's for sure. Some green, some color, some already on the ground. Fatmax -- California has some great color too. Its just different. Here's a few I took a few years ago At the Getty Museum andThanks. Some years are better than others. That year was especially colorful and it hung around pretty late into the fall. Yeah, we do get a lot of both.Early spring is the best time of year for tree color (at least in the central valley where I'm at). I guess I should get off my but and take a few. They're everywhere around here in early March.
I liked the first 3 the best, what kind of lens are you using?Managed to get out on Saturday and capture some colors around here:
Morning Fall
Cat Fall
Fall Reflected
Foamy
Waiting for the sun
These all were shot with the Factory included 18-55MM non-is lens..I liked the first 3 the best, what kind of lens are you using?Managed to get out on Saturday and capture some colors around here:

Thanks! The colors there are always great but I really need to find a new Fall place next year.. I think that is 4 or 5 years I have shot from the same place and there are only so many angles you can find.. Unless..hmmm.. maybe next year I borrow my Dads Canoe and really "get into nature".. hmmmmmGreat job. These all were shot with the Factory included 18-55MM non-is lens..I liked the first 3 the best, what kind of lens are you using?Managed to get out on Saturday and capture some colors around here:

Nice. And I was dead wrong about the colors around here this year. Over the past week or so the reds and oranges have gotten really spectacular. I'm hoping to take a ride over to the Laurel Mountains on Friday or Saturday and spend some time shooting. We'll see how my schedule works out.snogger said:Managed to get out on Saturday and capture some colors around here:

I'm going to try to get out on Friday if it's a nice day. Should I head to Cook Forest? the Clarion/Little Toby Trail? McConnel's Mill? I've heard Cooks Forest is pretty good but personally have never been. McConnell's Mill has options because of the water which always makes for nice pics (a few leaves in the stream). I'm kicking around Ohiopyle or McConnell's Mill myself.Snogger, great pics!!!!I'm going to try to get out on Friday if it's a nice day. Should I head to Cook Forest? the Clarion/Little Toby Trail? I still haven't decided about tomorrow. Looks like it's supposed to be a nice day, sunny and in the mid 50's. I'm worried that the rain lately may have knocked down a lot of the leaves if I head too far north. I might just spend the day at McConnells Mill and Moraine. Should be able to get some nice shots using Slippery Rock Creek and Lake Arthur. I'm headed to Seven Springs next Saturday (25th), hopefully there will still be some nice color in the mountains.LOTS of leaves on the ground today...but still a good bit around. Good luck.
