PFT claims Huizenga's plane has landed here in Jax and Tice is interviewing with Huizenga.

Now PFT is backing off saying that the plane is here but Huizenga is still in Miami.

But they still say Tice is a candidate.

Honestly I partially agree with Reg when he says Tice needed better assistants, but please... this guy is an OL coach who became a head coach based on frugality rather than achievement. I mean seriously, next thing people are going to fall under the impression that Steve Loney is a viable OC candidate somewhere just because frugal McCombs made him one on the cheap. Tice is simply not an NFL head coach, but IMHO has value to any team that hires him as a OL rah-rah, player-friendly assistant coach. But he already has that gig in Jacksonville. Maybe Tice is just being interviewed to meet the Rooney rule requirements (equal opportunity for rockheads).

I agree. He's a really good positional coach and did well this year in his assistant position.

Koetter is an excellent OC. Frankly, he's the guy who put Boise State on the map before Hawkins and Petersen took the ball and ran with it. At ASU he was just in over his head with being in charge of a large program. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jags passing offense catapult to the top of the league with this hire. He's as innovative as Chow and Martz with a much cheaper price.
