Disney Vacation (4 Viewers)

So he beats on not one, but two women and then cries he got choked out at the end?? And I understand avoiding confrontation, but those people just stood around.
As someone who has more in common with Frodo Baggins than Lebron James there is no way Im getting in that maniacs way by myself. He would have one shot me.

Dudes mom was riding a handicapped scooter and got right off it to get in the middle of the chaos.  They were probably cutting lines all day.  Didn't look too handicapped just old and out of shape.  Then the little kid hopped on it at the end. Lol

ok, this is really tough watch, but its Disney so here goes.

Some family got into a huge brawl with each other at DL's ToonTown today. Seriously, language, fighting, woman beating, craziness, violence, did I say woman beating? Holy cow! This is insane

Not for the faint of heart. You've been warned
Despite it being recorded properly in landscape, this is pretty disturbing.

not that there was anything funny about this, but 'Momma' was a hidden bit of comedy in this whole fiasco.

1. She try's ramming the scooter between big guy and big momma while they are 1st fighting.

2. then after they move she gets out of the scooter and  somehow ends up across the street in the middle of the girls. Once they start to go, Momma folds like a cheap suit and assumes the "momma just fainted' position

3. Baby momma picks up fainted momma as the psycho in red comes back. and Momma holds on to her son for deal life, willing the strength to hold him from slapping Big Momma more....

4. Only to fall back into Baby Momma's arms in a 'Jesus just cured me' faith healer convulsion

5.. Finally, Momma becomes the spark for another beating, this time when psycho guy goes to town on his own Baby Momma, thankfully giving Momma enough time to get back into her scooter.....anyone want churros?

Both of those guys should get 5-10 years
Took security 4 1/2 minutes to respond.

In slow motion the big girl spit full force in the first guy’s face. Then mayhem. Not an excuse, but I get people losing their minds if somebody spits in their face. She gets some of the blame. I agree the guys deserve felony assault/battery.

I've watched this a few times only because I'm amazed at the incompetence of security here.  Watch the guy come into the screen at 3:18 with the light blue shirt and red tie.  He looks like he's pulling up his pants like he just ran from the toilet.

Guy in maroon shirt and guy in white shirt/hat following the woman around while red shirt guy is getting up and yelling.

And then you have tweedle dum at 3:50 directing traffic.

This would be funny if the violence wasn't so disgusting.

:lmao:  years ago I remember somebody saying how disney security was EVERYWHERE, that they had undercover security dressed in plain clothes hanging out (“if you see a guy sitting alone on a bench he’s probably security”) and cameras all over the place.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

It actually might be true, but maybe they're just not trained for something like this.  The security that showed up looked to be in about 5 different types of uniform.  Maybe they were all around but were afraid to jump in alone.

What does crazy say right at the beginning? Don’t disrespect my (something)

best is the dude who comes in towards the end and says - “do me a favor and calm down”. Masterful job sir, consider this one handled

Maybe, but the guy zipping up his pants on the run kinda kills any credibility.

Man I really need to know the relationship of all the principals. I’m pretty sure the dude in the white shirt who squares up at the beginning is one of the most un-athletic people I’ve ever seen and I think he accidentally hit the chick in the light-brown tank top.

And our hero turns on his chick so easy at the end. The woman in black told him that light brown hit the mom and he lost it - I never saw light brown hit mom

The large marque sign at the entrance to Tomorrowland was removed overnight. Apparently it is being redesigned and will be replaced later this summer as part of the overall color and design changes going on in that land.

I've never gone to DL although I did get the chance to go to their version of Downtown Disney once.  The impression I've always had (and possibly been given from others unintentionally) is that DL is just different than DW.  I'm not even sure how to articulate that other than I've always looked at DL as a really upscale Six Flags but DW as the full resort/vacation destination.  But I'm really kind of speculating and talking out of my ### as I've never been in those parks.  Either way, this is a big fail on Disney's part, IMO.

I’m amazed at the lack of security. There are quicker responses at the local mall.
to be fair, it only took them 3 minutes.  They literally can't be anywhere at all times.  You can see one of the cast members calling for security int he background right away.

Also, i'm surprised those security guards actually de-escalated the situation.  They didn't look like they could stop anything.

the big guy needed a crow bar to the back of the head.

I am certainly not the target audience (although I liked the first 3) but I thought toy story 4 was terrible. My wife, who is a Disney fanatic, actually agreed. Just extremely redundant and boring.

Yikes....terrible?? It was better than 3. 3 wasn't very good.

Going to universal next week for the first time in 20 years. Other than hagrid, are the wait times as tolerable as they appear to be on the online tracking sites?
I found the tracking sites, and especially the in-park posted wait times, to be way off when we were there in November. Seemed like the "wait" times were based on how many minutes until you get to the interactive parts of the line. Like for the Jimmy Fallon thing the wait times were 5-10 minutes when we looked so we went in, and it took about 5 minutes to get to a holding lobby where we watched tonight show clips and some live performances from acts that were on the show, and it was another 35 minutes until we were on the ride. Same thing with Fast and Furious. There's a car exhibit you walk through, a garage with some actors, etc. that made the posted 10 minute wait actually be 45.

So it seemed not be the true wait time to when you're stepping on the ride.

Representing the WartHog section at the festive of the lion king show was little old me today.

At AK for a special DVC member event from 9-12

Well that sucks.

Turns out these guys are cousins.  Guess it is a small world after all.

Sorry...couldn't resist.

Is cash the only option for tipping sit down meals with the dining plan, or can you use your magic band?
They have to scan your band to use the dining plan.  You absolutely do not have to have cash to tip.

Hell, I don't think you have to have cash at all anywhere in WDW.

I wish I could have partaken in some of the other ship activities that require registration, but they were all filled up before it was open to us for signing up.  They give preferred access based on number of Disney cruises that you have been on.  I was interested in a Mixology class and a Martini class, but they were already filled up, even though we looked into them as soon as it opened up to us.  On the first day of the cruise, my FIL stood in line at Guest Services for an hour to get on the waitlist for the martini class, and was able to get into it when a spot opened up, but I didn’t get time to stand in line for that. I think the people with seniority just book it to reserve a spot, and then drop out before the deadline to do so, if they decide to something else.

Ship has some other activities like the Aquaduck water slide, and a sports deck where I played some mini golf with my son (who somehow got a hole-in-one before me).  Restaurants were solid, but nothing special (about what I expect on a cruise ship) — lots of Mickey waffles and Mickey ice creams for the little ones.  Animator’s Palate was pretty cool — there was a large screen TV by our table and “Crush” the turtle from Finding Nemo came by on the screen and talked to the kids.  Also pretty good with food allergies, if that is important to anyone.
We've been on 2 Disney cruises.  The first one was 20 years ago with the kids ages 12, 10, & 9 and the other a few years ago with just my wife and I.     Had a blast both times.

When my wife and I went we signed up for Mixology, and a tasting for Wine and another for beer.  Lots of fun.  We also signed up for the spa and went every day and was a highlight for both of us.    We thought the regular restaurants were good but we had two dinners and a brunch in the adult-only restaurants and they were exceptional.

Chillin at the pool at Bay Lake tower

Hot AF here now (expected) but also busy AF here too (not completely expected). I was reading reports that park attendance was way down....IDFK what they consider 'Busy' but man there were parts of the MK you couldn't walk without bumping into someone the other night.

After a few days at Universal and using their express pass, it casts such a spotlight on the downfalls of FastPass. Yes, logistically I know there are major differences that the 2 resorts have, but the I basically did everything at universal, multiple times in 1.5 days.

One real wart on FP popped up the other day as we hit a major mid-afternoon rainstorm—which is common for central FL—but it closed a whole bunch of rides and lasted about 45-50 mins. This mucked up a lot of people's FP times and converted a bunch to "anytime FPs" After the rain ended and the rides opened, we went to use our BTMRR FP and i swear, the FP line went down the path and back over the walkway by the Tom Sawyer Island launch! We actually got in line for it during our window, but by the time we reached the tap point, it was outside it (they obv let us in).  After that, we had a Splash Mtn (we normally stack those) and that line ended on the other side of the splash bridge, basically right by Pecos Bills!!! Basically, all the people who got kicked off, or had FPs convert, all descended on those attractions at once, so we just skipped it, which sucks.

Did AK last night for a DVC event. It was nice, but Everest was down with mechanical issues for most of the night. We had FP's for FOP before the event, and planned on doing EE until we dropped but that plan got screwed. When a major E-ticket is down, and they dont have shows like Lion King and Nemo running, it really highlights how little there is to do at AK. As much as I love that park overall, it still needs more. The nigh time safari is a bust, couldnt see anything. I thought they were having some mid-level lighting, but it was overall very dark.

Because EE was down, FOP was at a constant 60-75 min wait even at a private event.

We use gift cards. We specifically buy them just for this purpose.

But yes, you can charge it to your room.

no matter which way, disney will take your money

Booked our first family trip last night.  7 Nights/8 days from October 13-20 at Coronado Springs.  Got a special rate for the preferred room and somehow there was still an ADR available at Akershus for 6:30 pm on October 19th, which just happens to be my oldest daughter's birthday.  Extremely excited.  Wanted to send a big thanks out to @glvsav37 for recommending Stepehn Conti, a personal vacation advisor.  He was great and really detailed in all the cost comparisons, etc.  Thanks for the recommendation.  I'd be curled up in the fetal position by now if I had to do all this on my own.

As much as base tickets cost, I recommend getting the fast pass. You can cram 2 or 3 days worth of visits into one with it. Last time I went, if you signed up for an amex card and were approved, they would give you the fast pass.

I’ve said this before in here but will say it again. We had an absolute blast on our Disney cruise. However, I have been on Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean and I can not justify Disney doubling their price vs the other guys. Was it great, yes. Was it doubly great for the price, no way.
I feel the same. A 7 day Royal Caribbean cost the same or maybe a little less than our 3 day Disney cruise.
