Dissolving a team (1 Viewer)

Anyone had any experience dissolving 2 teams in a dynasty league. We keep 20 man rosters, 15 keepers before the draft.

The proposal was just to throw all of the players from the two teams that were no longer in the league into the rookie/fa draft. So the likes of LJ, Eli, Ronnie Brown, Roy Williams, Housh and Plax available for the #1 pick. Which really gives the advantage to the overall #1, as they would get a good pick of the rookies at pick #11 (non-serpentine draft decided by finish order).

My proposal was to do a 2 round serpentine draft (position randomly drawn) before the rookie/fa draft. We then would cut down an extra two players and begin the rookie/fa draft.

Any thoughts, I just think it isn't fair to give LJ to the worst team in the league/let alone change the value considerably of any trading of picks.

What have you guys done in the past?

Can you give the worst team the choice of the #1 in EITHER the disolved teams players OR the rookie draft?

Any way to consider a bidding process for the entire pool of players? Maybe give a little more $ to the worst team, the best team getting the least(?).

We had to reduce a dynasty from 12 to 10 teams a few years ago. The commissioner put the players from the two teams into the rookie draft. Some of the main players on the two teams were(overall rank):Bledsoe, Drew BUF QB(5); Brunell, Mark JAC QB(35);Dunn, Warrick ATL RB(50);Price, Peerless ATL WR(54);Ward, Hines PIT WR(36). I know I picked McGahee in the middle of the first, I think LJ was a rookie that year but did not go one, Peerless Price did, followed by Ward. It worked out fine for us.

I was going to suggest an auction style contraction draft as well. It gives every team the same opportunity to get a player, just all depends how much they're willing to spend. Cap it & require each team draft X amount of players.
