DJax Value With Dilfer In Lieu Of Smith (1 Viewer)

Just thinking from the Gore value thread, obviously the whole Niners offense has been brutal - particularly the passing game.

I'm of the mindset that while Dilfer is no world beater, he'll do a better job at moving the offense than Smith did (which isn't saying much). As for DJax, he has some past chemistry with Dilfer in Seattle when Trent filled in for Hasselback. I think DJax's targets go up from here (especially with Vernon Davis still out), and they haven't been that bad thus far.

Anyone else see some possible value in a DJax/Dilfer reunion?

I'm sure Dilfer will be better with a full week of practice, but good lord was he terrible last week. Terrible o-line play had a lot to do with that, but he missed badly with a number of throws.

Since Alex Smith sucks (sorry 9'er homers just look at his QB rating over the last 2 1/4 years), it can not get any worse for DJax with Dilbert. That said, DJax will end the year far below his ADP. Unless you are in a deep league, DJax and VDavis are almost not worth roster spaces.

Thanks for pulling those stats, Righetti. So maybe it's not worldly stuff, but there's really no one else to throw to, so I might take a flier on him as my WR3 this week.

I'd give him about a 20% bump from a 5 PPG WR to a 6PPG WR.
