Okay so today is the trade deadline in my league.
Another owner has put the following offer on the table:
He gives me Jason Bay and I give him CC Sabathia.
My other starting pitchers:
Lincecum
Oswalt
Jered Weaver
Hamels
My other starting outfielders and flex options:
OF - Holliday
OF - Willingham
OF - Ludwick
OF - Abreu
--------------------------
OF - Wells
1B/3B - Cantu and Branyan (Votto starts at 1B, one of these at 3B, the other is usually benched)
2B/3B/SS/OF - Felipe Lopez (Platoon with Escobar at SS usually)
I'm currently in 2nd place in this 8X8 league, with almost exactly half of my ranking points coming from pitching and half from hitting.
Right now I think I'm not going to take the deal as the amount of improvement Bay offers over my existing options isn't enough to make up for the dropoff between down the stretch CC and the guys who would take his place.
What do you guys think?
