Do you dare bench LT (1 Viewer)

Understandably, this is a very difficult call, but is anyone else benching this stud?

1. Do we expect him to play more than 1/2?

2. What do you project?

3. Even if you project lesser stats from him, do you bench him for riskier options that you project higher?

Just as an example, say you drafted Portis in the 2nd and picked up Watson on waivers, only start 2 RBs.

Nice "disguised" WDIS :boxing: :drive: :lmao: . Anyways, in order for LT to be taken out of the game, more than likely the Chargers will be up big which also means that LT probably will have had a great game. LT in one half is better than most rbs in an entire game. I wouldn't overthink this....go with your stud.

No. Start him.

1) He may very well play more than a half game. They're playing for the #3 seed.

2) I don't project anything. Too volatile.

3) I wouldn't bench him if I had him.

FWIW, Last season I would have won my championship if I would have benched Tomlinson. SD was playing for a bye and LT didn't play much. I would expect much of the same this year. I am playing Turner in the championship game this year. Even if I had LT he wouldn't sniff my starting lineup in week 17. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice.....Nope I wouldn't let it happen.

Two years in a row I've made the SB in different leagues with week 17 SB. The first year I had by far the better team and I lost because a lot of my players were rested, including ones I thought would play a decent amount. The second year I had by far the lesser team and I blew the other guy out of the water because a lot of his players got rested while I started guys who should definitely play.

I'm back in SB again this year after yet another failed attempt to get them to change the schedule. I decided if there is a decent option who is definitely playing I'm going with him over a guy who has done better all year, but that may sit. I've already cut some of my IDPs on teams who have reason to rest guys, for ones on teams that should definitely play all their players.

SB was last week but we have a probowl this week. The coach that finishes 3rd picks the probowl rosters. Every owner must have at least 2 players on the expanded probowl squad. The guy put LT in there. I told him to pull LT and go with Jamal. LT has over 100 yards on top of ADP for the rushing title. The game could be well in hand early and he could be gone before the half and Turner and Sproles get the carries after that.

I wouldn't start him...

never bench your studs. Especially against oakland. He can have 1 carry and bust an 80 yard td. I live and die with my man LT in this one

I really don't see him playing any more than a half, Sproles tore up Detroit so one might expect him and Turner to do the same vs an even worse Raiders run D. Also, while they are playing for the 3 seed, its really all that important because no matter what they are playing at home in the wild card round and on the road in the divisional round (if they win). Throw in the hammy twinge and I'd be surprised if he is in for a snap after half time, but in that time he should put up some nice numbers vs. the awful Oakland run D. I think he's an ok play, but his upside is pretty limited. I wouldn't hate it if I had to play him, but I don't expect him to be a top 5 back this week either.
