Depending on the seriousness and outcome, other surrounding states could follow. I've read reports recently discussing Texas getting all of its gold reserves back from the US and taking them to Texas. A lot of secession talk in Texas can just be a political ploy though to get some people fired up. Political tensions should settle down after the election hopefully. Realistically I think it's too complicated for a state to secede. How would all the entitlements be distributed? What are you going to do with a US military base in a state trying to secede? There are many other complicated issues like these that would make secession tough.Which section?I don't think there would necessarily be a war but I could see a section of the country secede from the Union.
