Do you have a favorite spot to draft out of? (1 Viewer)

This has probably been discussed but I wouldnt know what to search for to find it.

Just found out I have to draft at the turn, 10th spot in a new dynasty team. I am kind of bummed. Is the 10 spot a bad spot historically to draft out of? Are there any stats on % of league winners from each draft position? Cheer me up guys, there has to be some positive to me missing out on the 9 best prospects. I know I get to choose 2, but then I also have to wait another 18!

I don't what your rules are but I can ALMOST feel your pain. I traded the first pick in a dynasty draft for #10(end of round). I got my backside handed to me the first year. Now I have LJ, SJ, Cedric Benson, Clinton Portis, etc. I got LJ as a free agent and SJ and Benson as rookies. For me, a dynasty league is great. Study and trust your instinct. You may not have Immediate success but you will have a great foundation for the future.

you know i think we have done polls on slots winners drafted in, but unfortunately, not sure how to search. maybe, if you have some time, try a search for draft in the title and limit time frame to last summer, when it is most likely to have been sked; though it could have been end-of-season, too. :boxing:

i believe that the larger the legue, the more important the draft and with smaller leagues you can do more by effectively playing thye waiver wire. with ten teams, you should have some opportunity there.

As I said, without rules it is tough to reply. I am in a league with contracts, salary cap, and penalties for cutting players. I get to keep players that I guessed right on and I am penalized for players that didn't work out so well. Preparation will ALWAYS put you in a position to win any league. The spot that you choose from will obviously impact your team but you can always make the best of any situation.

Personally for this year I like drafting 9-12 and feel confident there will be 2 solid RBs there to build my team around.
