My 7 yo came home begging for one yesterday.  Never heard it mentioned before...$12 for something he'll play with more than a day seems like a decent buy.

I now have my own - daughter walked in from school a few minutes ago and she had been given one by her teacher.  She had one already she likes better so she gave her new one to my son who said I could have his broken one.  :excited: :bag:

Will report back on all the poon I score.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh, sure "your kids gave it to you" ;)

Guy at work has one.  But he also picks his nose non-stop, has gems, Dungeons and Dragon dice, and some little figurine thing with a sword on his desk.  Also has a My Little Pony lunch box.  So the fidget spinner is probably the most normal thing this guy has.

My kids have them.  My 12 year old son has had almost straight A's the past couple years, and all of a sudden he "can't concentrate" in class unless he has his.  That's when I banned him from taking it to school.

I will try to remember to take a pic Monday.  Not there today.  The sad part about this guy is that he is 30 and married.  But acts like a 20 year old.  Plus he is pretty disgusting.  He has an overly-dramatic cough he does at least once per day.  His chair squeaks, so every time he is fidgeting around in his chair it drives the guy by him nuts.  He randomly will play the drums with his fingers on his desk once in awhile... Spinning his little fidget spinner throughout the day... I could go on and on, but this is a thread for the fidget spinner I guess.  I'll head back over to the "Note to my Coworker" thread where I belong..  :wall: :wall:

My son found some cheap ones at a local store. Bought them for $3 each and took them to scool and sold them for $10 each to other kids.

He's "restocked" 3 times now. Got a good gig going.

I picked one up for myself a couple weeks ago.  I spin it in the car sometimes - I wish I could find one that has a couple tool functions on the end.  I could use a bottle opener fidget spinner.

The DVD girl that has been coming to the bar for years has abandoned the DVD's for a bag full of Spinners...WTH.!

Update?

I just bought 2.  They were in the check out line at the Food Lion.  My kids keep asking for them and I finally broke down.  Seems like a good toy for the summer....

I need to change my vote.  I went from having 0 to having 6.  Kid was begging for a week or so I kept telling him no.  Got a good report card at the end of the year so I got him one, and his sister.

Then my mom comes home with the light up spinners.  One of the lights didn't work so she went and bought 2 more.

Kids are only mildly interested in them at this point.  he takes it a bunch of places, but doesn't really fool with it.

Fad should be over soon.

Wife works in promotional products, and she says there is a shortage in China on ball bearings because of these things.  They have been on backorder since they came out.

My kid has two. I got one and have it on my desk at work. I spend a lot of time on conference calls. I spin it around when I am bored. I have a Rubik's cube and a couple other fidgety type toys too. No big deal.
