If she worked in a office I would. She is a Part-time Teacher Assistant and roams from school room to school room.

I've already made plans to have her parents take our daughter for next weekend and plan to bring the flowers home with me next Friday to get a good start to the weekend. :banned:

Taking them yourself = Cool

Paying some random shlub to take them to her = uncool

ETA - Although highly unlikly, but what if said shlub is better looking than you? How would you sleep at night knowing you sent Dirk Diggler an invite to hit on your wifey?

It's cool, but I'm not doing it this year.

The silver necklace I got her will be adorning something much prettier than a bunch of dead flowers.

You could send them to the office....
Naw.. With the plans set to have the In-Laws take the daughter for the weekend, coming home with flowers will be icing on the cake.

Do it. It gives her status in the office. About half of her office mates will get flowers. Those that don't feel like second class citizens. They think the others are judging them. Imagine that, women judging other women. Why would they think such a thing?

I used to but she actually sat me down one year and said I am completely serious about not getting flowers.

FOr a couple years I thought she was pulling the female oh I don't want flowers they are a waste, blah blah blah.

THen she finally said " NO - I woudl rathe we spend our money on other gifts than flowers"

This year we decided just getting back from vacation and her b-day to just go with small items

VERY :bowtie:
I'm not going to be able to make the 45 minute drive each way during lunch time.
Leave work early or go into work late? Taking them yourself would score MEGA points. :lmao:
She'll have to live with getting them delivered this year.
The 45 minute drive that is keeping you from doing it, is precisly the reason she'll go gaga if you did it.

It would be an hour and a half drive total and it's not feasible at this time.

You can take the horse to the water, but you can't make the horse drink the water.

Hell no. Valentine's Day is for people who are dating. Us married folks have a little ole thing called an anniversary.

While we were dating, I would deliver flowers.

Now that we're married and she is a stay at home mom, no.

She has training for her volunteer work this weekend, so she leaves today and comes back Monday.

Or at least that's what she tells me. :kicksrock:

Women don't actually like flowers all that much, they like to see other women see them getting flowers. Send them to the office.
These two basically sum it up.

I get in trouble for sending them (money could be better spent) and get in trouble for not sending them (you don't love me). It's my favorite day of the year. :wall:

I got an email from Proflowers and ended up ordering some. There was a promotional code for $20 for roses and a free vase. They did get me on a $12 delivery fee and $3 handling fee. Oh well, $35 not to have to go anywhere or pay this stupid holiday anymore mind seemed worth it.

Now with the snow, the stupid thing probably won't even get delivered today.

Sent my wife this poem instead

Roses are Red
The Market is Tanking
Play Your Cards Right
And you'll get a good spanking

She replied back very positively.

Thankfully my wife thinks it's a stupid holiday. Occasionally, I'll send them on our anniversary. Even then, she usually thinks it's a waste of money. She's not bringing them home and they usually become a distraction as she now has to talk to people who ask what they're for.

I usually make sure I am un attached during this holiday. I told one of my lady friends on fb earlier I was just gonna look pretty today and have them buy me flowers! blouses....

I guess I'm in the minority, but I've been married 20 years and still send flowers every year. I have two teenage daughters and I've been including them since they were very small. They all really look forward to it, so I think I'm stuck with buying 3 sets of flowers forever.

Nothing wrong with this. At all.

The answer is no. Not only that but Im in the doghouse big time for something I said to her yesterday that I feel horrible about. I have no clue how Im gonna dig myself out of this one. So now with today being Valentines Day Ill probably be in the double doghouse after not getting her anything.
